“I recently rented a mini excavator and a mini skid steer for a large drainage project, where we installed french drains in the backyard and a large rain garden in the front. We did the proper install, not just the 12” deep pipe run: we dug 30-36” down, filled the trenches and the garden basin with gravel (about 180’ pipes were ran; 22 tons of washed stone was moved, and then backfilled and compacted). Mutual Rentals was AWESOME to work with. All very professional and their customer service is top notch. The rental process was super smooth - I explained to Cory what we were doing and the site limitations and he suggested the right equipment, all this done over the phone and texts. They showed up on time, the machines were well maintained, clean and easy to operate. Ryan, who dropped off both machines; did a great job explaining how they work and what to look out for. Pick up and billing was similarly smooth and convenient. I will add that as a woman who does / manages a lot of construction projects, I often feel treated differently / taken advantage of due to my gender, but not with Mutual: these guys, every single one I came in contact with, treated me with respect, professionalism and made me feel that I was a valued customer. Jose called me, identified himself, and took initiative to address the confusion; he could have easily pretended he did not know who I am and just kept the money. Yet he paid me back within a few hours. This is an example of honesty and decency that I feel I cannot count on very often and I want him to be commended for it.

While most of the people at your store are always courteous, Jose is one of the only ones who goes out of his way to greet me and be helpful. Here is the significance: he is helpful, not just courteous. Please keep him on staff and pay him handsomely for his services because I truly believe he makes Ace The Place to Shop in Highland Park.
