“This review is rather late, over a year actually. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the long standing issue US Bank gave me. My father passed away and it took so long for US Bank to release his funds. This branch wasn't my father's branch but it doesn't matter which you go into. Afroz Ali was the one who helped me and apologized for the disheartening situation. He was patient, did not rush and he showed concern. We kind of bonded because he lost his father as well. He even showed me a photo of him and his father along with his family. He very much so misses his father, I could both feel it and see if. Thanku for the help you provided Sir.”

Working with Michelle was a breeze opening an account this Credit Union. They offers everything I was looking for, free checking, savings, Zelle and other features as well.

“I gave a rating of 4 because there was a wait of 45 mins because of a line and the bank was short staffed. Olimpia did stop by and let us know when were were going to be serviced a few times. That was good. Olimpia was very good and efficient in getting our account and safety deposit set up. That part of the experience was very good.”

“I absolutely love LFB. I don't even live in Lake Forest, but my sister does and LFB is her bank so I'm a devoted customer. The personal relationships that they form with their customers is such a refreshing way to do business. Shilpa and Tom are just fantastic - they seem to know everyone who walks in and they have the same professionalism and friendly demeanor with each and every customer, every time. Also, I've been to the drive thru at the other branches when I have my dog in the car with me and they always send a dog treat out for him with my deposit slip. Such a small gesture sets LFB from the other massive banks who have to seek out government assistance because their ridiculous fees aren't enough to keep them afloat. If you are tired of being just another number at your bank and not being able to talk to a human when you call, go see Shilpa or Tom!”

This is a local bank that values it's local clientele, unlike the big national banks that treat you like a number . “This is a small community bank, the northbrook location seems more tailored for the private banking arm, but they do take all customers. This bank may not be as technologically advanced as big guys, but it's a real community bank, with actual people working there, I know my banker, and get services not possible at big banks, although at times they may be a little slower. Seems like they are most focused on retail and commercial banking services, not sure they are desperate to make loans like some places, so I would elsewhere for anything than home equity lines. Overall nice to have a small old fashioned bank, in a day where it seems like most other branches dont even have personal bankers, even if their app are behind the curve of the bigger banks.”
