“I go here for nail trims for my dog, and I want to bring my other dog too. They don't use the clippers, the guy (Sean I think? I have a bad memory) who does the nails uses the Dremmel grinder. I think it's easier on the dogs than the clippers. He's strong and can handle the dogs easily. My dog is kind of squirmy and not happy about being there. But I am happy with the nail services here. I don't take them for grooming since they're short fur... I would but I just wash them at home.”

“I’ve been going to Pet Supplies Plus for years. All my pets have switched to their Redford products and they are doing great. I have senior pets and I appreciate the quality. The Arlington Heights location is my absolute favorite. I order for curb side pick up at least 3 times a month. They are quick to fill my orders and always so friendly when I pick up. Highly recommend this location especially. Now there is an ap for ordering which makes it even better.”

“I had a great experience at the Schaumburg Petsmart location the other day. The shelves were clean and pulled forward, easy to find what I needed very quickly. The staff especially Jennifer the cashier and Joe the other worker were lovely. I had trouble with an item being ringed in and they were super helpful throughout the process. “When my brother's trailer broke down near the Indiana border, the only store within 2 hours that was still open until 9pm was this Tractor Supply. He called an associate at the store and they found the leaf spring he needed. They were willing to stay a little after closing time if needed so we could make the long trip there to pick it up. “Not only are their dog groomers the most empathetic, best dog workers, but my German Pincher, Dobby, actually looks forward to going. They really take their time and give care, not just me nail trimmings & salon work.
Further, since starting to carry dart frogs, over been able to find that their flightless fruit flies, etc, are more suited for purchase and feed-right-away. This is so important, especially first beginners in the specialty pet industry. It can be hard getting food for these pets as cultures often take a month to start hatching. They know this, date and cycle appropriately - so the wait is virtually non existent.

“I like this store a lot and I bought lots home furnishing items from it. They help me carry a rug to my car before.
But today I went to return two items and this staff looked at me and pointed at everything behind him and said, if you can find a spot to put these on that shelf, I will process your return. He wasn’t joking or just trying to be funny. Not nice. He did process my return but why do you have to say that to me. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed but why take it out on me.”
“I stopped in to buy a few toys for my birbs. They have a great selection of supplies and lots of beautiful parrots. The shop is very bright, clean and organized. The best part is the staff — everyone was so friendly and helpful!”
“Love coming here on my days off, they’re always stocked with everything I could ever need and their betta fishes are always healthy and alive for the most part. I bought 4 from them previously and they’re all doing very well. Bought 2 king bettas and recently bought a baby girl betta. Often buy cat litter, overall aquatic and feline products.”

This is a wonderful place. My husband and I were deciding between adopting another furball or another feathery friend.. a red factor conure stole our hearts almost immediately and shortly after Erin came over and assisted us. It was our first time here and she made the experience great. This place is great because the pets are in open spaces so they are socialized well! The animals are happy to interact with people and are happier than other places who keep their pets isolated behind glass and away from each other and visitors.
I have been to many pet stores and have been to specific bird places.. this one takes the cake. (I’ve never had such a happy bird so quickly!)
I overheard staff (namely Eric and Manager Victoria) advising people on pets that are appropriate given living situations and experience levels - they REALLY care about the animals and finding a good fit for people (to avoid having a return situation).
Most places don’t care and just sell an animal without a thought or any questions - here they will speak with you to figure out what’s the best fit for you and for the animal. (Please don’t be offended or go somewhere else because they advise you against what you want - they know what’s best here.)
I really enjoyed being able to interact with multiple different pets and being introduced to some of the larger parrots they had.
The staff also know everything about each animal. This place cares and these animals are in good hands.
My husband and I found our forever go-to-place!
Side note: could possibly be pricey for birds/animals but they’re the most SOCIALIZED pets you’ll come to find from a store - it’s 100% worth every penny.”
