“I went here to get a new compound bow. As a somewhat new shooter I got very lucky to meet Rick. Rick was one of those unsuspecting employees who you think might be just an eager to help individual but you’d be wrong.
Rick has been teaching archery for years and the conditions were perfect where he spent 15 minutes with me that improved my shooting significantly.
Rick adjusted my bow and gave me pointers that were helpful and useful. I hope you’re as lucky as me and get to meet Rick.”
“I had a wonderful experience at Xtra Mile! Both the owner Chris and the associate Kevin who I worked with were super resourceful and patient in helping me find the right running shoes for me. Appreciated the gait analysis they do at the store (having you walk/run on the treadmill and analyzing your video) and shoe recs. Ended up getting Brooks Glycerin Max on sale, which I’m liking so far. Chris is very involved in the community too and tries to be a resource for runners of all levels. Highly recommend this Xtra Mile Running!”

“I was looking to try on some shoes for pickleball. Having never been to this store, i did not realize that the selection of shoes was limited. However, the gentleman working was very polite and helped me the best that he could. The store was small but had a nice variety of tennis racquets and pickleball paddles. Just not a lot of shoes.”

“Nothing short of amazing! Took my son in to get fitted for a new bat, Steve asked a bunch of questions and let him hit what he recommended and also what my son thought “ was cool”. Steve showed him the difference in each bat and how it affected his swing. My son and I both felt very confident in the bat they both selected and agreed worked and felt the best. Gave us a very good price , lower than anything I had seen online. I would have paid more or theoretically whatever price he told us , as he had our full trust. Steve then told us exactly how to break in the new bat in order to get the best results.

“Wonderful customer service and skill. After reaching out twice to a local business to refelt and level our table and neither time getting the call back that was promised, I called MC. They called right back, educated me about the next steps, got me in their schedule quickly and showed up when they said they would. They made quick and beautiful work of our table.
We are now ready to entertain the guests coming out for a graduation party and wedding that we are hosting this year!

This is where I go to get any sporting grade needs that I can trust all the people here are worth noting their professional and they had a great selection of different items, especially hiking and running items, though I will look online, but other than that, the staff and the pricing here is excellent and you never know what you’ll find so excited to come back to this place.”
“This was my first time ever walking into this store. I never went in because I thought it was a bunch of knockoff stuff but I was wrong. This store has everything I need for sports. I’m a BIG Chicago fan and I know out of all these stores in Woodfield mall, this store has the most variety of stuff to choose from. I would always shop at Lids because of their coupons. I’m hoping this store has the same sales or coupons like their competitors. But I will definitely make this my to go to sports store. Also, I was very impressed by how nice the staff was. “Great selection of actual work wear for nearly any industry, whatever they don't have on hand they can order. Staff was super helpful, no nonsense and while more expensive than cheap gear, you'll sound less in the long run when you're not replacing it as often.”

Their customer service is top notch, and they go above and beyond to take care of their customers. This is my go to anytime I need to buy something new for my daughter. She is a 10 year old softball player, and every season we have to upgrade her bats and gloves, Play it Again in Schaumburg has great quality stuff for such reasonable prices!! Check it out before you go out and spend too much!!!!”

“Had a very pleasant today at this location. We usually shop at the Orland Park location, but decided to make the drive out here today. The store was crowded but employees were moving around fast. Our cashier, Zeynep D. was very helpful and friendly, she asked us if we needed gift receipts and even stapled them to each one of our items so they didn't get mixed up. Friendly employees and line moves quick. Great location!”

“I walked into that store hoping to feel the fabrics so I knew what to order online. As a person in a fat body I did not expect to feel welcome in the store. I was very wrong! I was greeted by TWO employees in body types like mine and I knew they would be help to help me with important questions about fit, wicking, etc. I didn’t feel out of place! “Visited the Dick Pond location in Hoffman Estates after being a long-time patron of the Park Ridge location, and was incredibly impressed and pleased by the level of service and the selection of shoes. It’s been a few years since I’d been out running daily and knew that Dick Pond would be the spot to go for a new pair of trainers. I worked with Mark, who ultimately fitted me up in a pair of Brooks Glycerin 23s. Great shoes, and once again I will say that I had a wonderful experience. I will be back very soon! 6/25/26: Adding to my review as I've just worked with Stella on picking up a new pair of speed shoes. Mark helped transfer the two pairs of shoes I was interested in from one store to this location for my convenience. The service was so great I wound up taking home both pairs. Even picked up a new pair of shades! 😎 Once again, the service was top notch. I have no problem patronizing a small business, and shopping local. Thanks again!!”
