“What attracted me to this bank was the friendly staff. While some of my favorites may have changed over the years, one constant is that the staff remains very knowledgeable and pleasant. Presently, my new favorite is Cheryl Miller at the HE Community Bank on Palatine Rd. Great job Cheryl!”
“My five stars are for the Mount Prospect branch. But I will be comparing this branch to the Des Plaines branch. The Des Plaines branch, I would maybe give one star to it.I much prefer the MP branch over the DP branch. MP branch makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. It does not have a cold feeling, like DP’a branch.Teller’s are polite, professional, and quick. Unlike the DP branch, tellers talk way too much to the ppint where it orders uncomfortable. I am the kind of person that wants to go into the bank. Do what I need to do and leave. And at Mount Prospect branch I can do that however at the Des Plaines branch there’s one teller who just talks and talks and talks, and even when you make the hints that you are ready to go, you’re there for an extra 10 minutes after you did your banking business.”

“Ive been banking here for many years. Their personal banking services, and their customer services are absolutely great. Their tellers are always friendly and their personal bankers (especially Catherine and Denise) are super helpful. Their online bill pay works well for both business and consumer banking and allows transfers, etc. They always have good coffee and snacks/treats for the kids and in general it is a pleasure to stop by the bank. I've never tried to borrow money from Wintrust.”
“My wife and I had 6 financial advisors over 15 years, all of which offered only their company’s products for investment. In 2013, on a whim and with some skepticism, we attended a Steve Lewit dinner/seminar. Until that seminar, we had never heard the term “fiduciary”, much less know its meaning. Steve’s presentation sounded interesting and we decided to make an appointment with him to go over our finances. When Steve asked us our priority, we answered monthly income for retirement. Steve and his team then put together a plan that met our retirement income wishes, utilizing products of a few different companies. So we decided to again change advisors and move our assets into Steve’s recommended portfolio. Now, 9-years later, we are very happy to state that those expectations have been exceeded, as our monthly retirement income is more than was planned. A financial advisor that is a fiduciary (like SGL) made all the difference for us. We currently live in a Florida retirement community and recently discussed how lucky we are to have no money worries at this point in our lives. Had it not been for Steve and SGL, we wouldn’t be in this position. And even though we live in Florida, SGL still handles our financial planning and investments, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.”

I have recommended the bank to many friends who have had to pay fees to withdraw their own money from their banks. :)”
“When I lived in Mundelein this was my preferred bank. It was a bummer when I had to go to the bank on Maple, but it was only because this bank didn't have the printer to give me a new debit card. I assume because they're a smaller establishment? The employees were always very kind to me and my children (if they tagged along). Complementary coffee, water, and candy was sometimes available if there was a wait for a banker. If I ever did have an issue they were very apologetic and worked hard to resolve my problem. I know most are quick to leave negative reviews, but after moving away I miss this bank. I now frequent a Wintrust near my new residence and it can't hold a candle to this branch.”
“I really like this Bank and all the people that work in it. They are very efficient and friendly. My biggest gripe is that at the drive-in window they don't make the far left window for business transactions. Somebody simply depositing a check should use any other lane. I typically have large Bank envelopes filled with deposits for my business. And I sit in line and wait for Joe average when there are other lanes open and available that I simply cannot use. This is an inconvenience to another wise great bank to do business with.”

“I Don't know where we would be financially today, if we hadn't met Gary Komarek at North Shore Asset Mngt. a few years ago. Gary created a plan for us to achieve our goals and we were very pleased with the results. Gary suggests and explains and the final decision is up to you. He doesn't TELL you what to do. Gary is there for you and to help you.A few weeks ago, I lost my husband. I called Gary and he had me come in. I ended up spending over 2 hours in his office while he was taking care of my investments.Gary Komarek is Honest, Dedicated and Knowledgeable.”

“After seeing some poor reviews on this site, just wondering if they are "fake" reviews. My experience with BG Bank & Trust (part of Wintrust) has been wonderful and I've banked with them for at least 5yrs. I shopped around for a bank that would offer me a small business account without having to deposit $5000 to keep on hold; they were the only one who had a minimum of $250. Any questions I've had have always been met with excellent customer service. There's a reason Wintrust must have been rated #1 in Illinois for customer service by J.D. Power.”
“Tom Plonowski and the entire staff at the Wauconda, il branch did an outstanding job, they were efficient, well trained and actually answer phones LIVE everytime with care and follow up.
