“I never thought I would find myself writing a review for a Gas Station, but this one stood out to my surprise as I own a few businesses so I naturally notice things from a business/customer service perspective. And to give the owner of this Shell Gas Station reference, this is base on my experience Saturday morning on 11/22 to give the credit to those who deserve it.
As soon as I walked inside it looked and smelled clean, as in you can smell the light lingering scent of the cleaning product they use. The person at the register didn’t look like they rolled out of bed which is the typical look I come across, both, the male and female, employees at this Shell Gas Station were in uniform with their hair fixed, very polished and put together. The gentleman checking out my husband and I was smiling, warm positive energy and extremely polite asked “How are you doing today?” while reaching for the merchandise we brought to the counter to begin checkout. He also was quick with the checkout process, I point this out because Gas Station trips are typically quick stops, so this supports the in and out expectation. Also, the female employee was hustling restocking shelves to replenish product to make available to customers for the day.
There is another gas station at the end of our block that we can more conveniently go to when needed, but there were always issues with their pumps. This Shell Gas station from our experience always has the pumps in working order. So we always drive the extra mile to go to this Shell location because it keeps the flow of our day going seamlessly.

“Woodmans Gas Station in Buffalo Grove often has very good fuel prices which makes it a great place to fill up. The pumps are easy to access and the area is clean and organized. One thing to keep in mind is that they accept only debit cards for the lowest price so it is good to have one ready. Overall it is a reliable and affordable spot for regular refueling.”

“Encountered service that was above and beyond at this station. Pulled up to get gas but my gas door was frozen shut. Went inside to tell them the situation and the lady working there automatically put her coat on and filled a pitcher of hot water. She came outside with me and poured the hot water on my gas door but it still wouldn’t budge. Another customer asked us if we needed help as I started walking back into my car to see if I could do anything else and like magic, the lady kept trying and was able to open the gas door! I was relieved and able to fill up my gas.
That is some great service and true midwestern friendliness. Thanks so much to the service provided by this particular station and the particular lady working there!”

“Wow! I’ve been a 711 and Speedway guy for over 15 years. Thorntons has officially won me over for many reasons. The employees actually CARE about YOU. Multiple different employees took their time to help me. They try to help you save money by informing you about the awards/deals etc. The Velo rep (Victor) also has won me over from ZYN which I would go thru 1 a day to now VELO. AMAZING staff members, great deal and beautiful store. Who ever is running this place is doing a great job. This is how you run a successful business.”

“Been here a few times. The best thing about this place is probably the free parking. Its fine if youre going northbound. But if youre delivering or need to go back south, prepare to take a long detour. Not much for hot food, they sell store bought pizza and links at a premium.”

“Open all night, so far a safe ? place, very good service, the price of the ⛽️ the same as elsewhere, but if you need something to eat or anything else, like in a Mexican store, there is here at any time.”
“A smaller gas station than some of the others along 41, they're still one of the better stations. The pumps here are FAST - I can fill up my tank faster than most of the other stations. Prices are fair, for a station right on the expressway, and you can save if you get a car wash after filling up. Their automated car wash system - A Ryko SoftGloss MAXX 5 brush friction wash system - is available 24 hours, and does a really good job for such low prices. They have a coin-op vacuum cleaner and air pump around behind the mini-market. The mini-mart is definitely miniature, but still well stocked given the limited area. The staff are all really friendly, too. This gas station is connected, by a small road in the back, to the Taco Bell and Wendy's - making it a nice late night destination to refuel your vehicle and your belly.”
“First time to this Navy Exchange store!!! Has an abundant amount of Navy clothing items, souvenirs, hats, water bottles, keychains, lanyards, mouse pads, pens, etc. Good selection, prices are kind of pricey, which is expected. Sizes are limited for certain types of clothes, though. Like the Navy emblems, logos and signs. Good customer service representatives working there. Parking can be a hassle, though. And it can get pretty crowded in there as well. So, please be aware of that.”

“Exactly as would be expected at such a place.... Quick service, in and out, etc. They have the usual selection of candy, chips and drinks, with a typical selection of phone chargers and other sundries available. It's NOT in cook county, so instead of paying 15 bucks for a pack of smokes, it costs under 10 bucks here. Well worth the extra 10 minutes of driving time.”

“The day I went there, it was the cheapest gas around according to GasBuddy. I had no problems pumping or paying for gas. Pumps were modern but without annoying video screens. I didn't go inside, but the building's exterior looked a little dated or run-down.”
