He was like a breath of fresh air in the auto retail business. Since that day, I have returned time and time again only to receive the same outstanding customer service, singing his praise to my family and friends. On my most recent shopping visit, there was a little lady sitting on a chair, whose car had overheated. Scooter called a tow truck for her and was taking care of her until they arrived. She was telling me what I already knew, that he is a wonderful human being and amazing representative of O'Reilly's Auto Parts! I've never before left a message like this, and it is long overdue. “SCOOTER is an awesome employee and definitively contributes to the success of O'Reilly Auto Parts. I couldn't be more pleased with the level of service I received on his watch. In fact, it was so good, I won't ever be going back to the Advance Auto Parts store right next door which is where I would normally go. I have trouble installing new batteries due to their weight so I called in advance and asked if someone could install it for me in the lot. Scooter said yes, I can do that for you! When I asked Advance if they could do this, they were wishy washy about the request like it was a pain to them, and that they might not be able to do it for me depending upon a number of factors. This is why I called O'Reilly as soon as I hung up with Advance. So I asked Scooter if I could just do a curbside install if I buy the battery online in advance. He said yes, we can do that! I said great, I'll call you when I arrive and he said okay I'll come out with the new battery as soon as you pull up. So I arrived, popped the hood, and he came out with the battery and installed it with the speed and skill of a professional pit crew! Again, I thought, man did I come to the right place! It was due to Scooter's excellent customer service, willingness, skill and expediency that I told him, you have just won over a new permanent customer for your business. He thanked me and said just let me know if you need anything else in the future. The whole process took about 10 minutes MAX which was great because I was in a big hurry. Kudos to Scooter, and I hope that management rewards him properly for his quality service, because he alone brought in a new and permanent customer to O'Reilly Auto Parts! Thanks a million again Scooter! It's people like YOU that make the difference, ESPECIALLY NOWADAYS!”

“My wife and I were traveling from Connecticut heading north on 57 when a piece of the undercarriage in front came loose and was flapping making all kinds of noise. A bolt was missing, and parts were broken off from the front bumper underneath.
I saw the O'Reilly's from the highway and decided to see if maybe I could fix it with duct tape or something.
Tommy was at the counter, and I explained the situation and he recommended twist ties and gave me a couple of good tips.
So, Tommy. Your advice was perfect. The twist ties endured over 900 miles of highway driving since we were there Friday the 20th. We returned home Monday night without any further issues.

“I spoke to a very nice customer service agent (sorry, don't remember her name) who told me the price for the bulbs they supply to Amazon are 1/2 price if I order it direct from Interlight. So, in addition to the bulbs I bought from Amazon, I decided to order 2 more directly from Interlight. I give the 50PAR20/NFL/H - 1BB37E3 Light bulb 5+ stars. They work #1 and #2, they work quite well. I have an Allure Range Hood. My home was built in 1985 and I am not the original owner so, I don't know if the original Range Hood made by Allure is the original Range Hood (?). Because of the price of the bulbs from Amazon, I was considering replacing the range hood since I could not find replacement bulbs on my own. So I began my lightbulb journey with the bulb to be replaced in hand. My first stop on the replacement lightbulb journey was Lowes. I asked for help and the sales person recommended something that was close so I tried those. No luck so back to the store to return them. Then I went to Home Depot. The sales person there gave me 4 different options to try. All were unfortunately not fitting just right so it was back to Home Depot to return them. Finally, I went to a professional lighting store in Tyson's Corner Virginia. Most people that live in this area know how awful the traffic can be there but I thought they would have the right bulb. I was sold two lightbulbs by the sales person assuring me they would work. Off I went with hopeful anticipation they would work. Nope! So I went back to the store in Tyson's Corner and returned them. So I thought, I'll try the lightbulbs from Amazon and see what happens, what Have I got to loose except $150. I got them, put them in and prayed. Low and behold, they work! When speaking to the Interlight Customer Service person, she answered my questions including my question about how to used them. When you use them, turn them on for a long as you need them. Don't turn them off and back on again say 5 minutes later. They will wear out more quickly if you do that. Doing so does something to the Mercury in the bulb. The package the bulbs came in has this nomenclature 50PAR20/NFL/H - 1BB37E3. That is very important when you are looking for these specific bulbs so I learned. $75 a piece from Amazon, $35 a piece from Interlight - Amazon more expensive than another merchant? Imagine that.
