“I had a great experience at CPR Cell Phone Repair in Skokie. I spilled some water on my 14-inch MacBook Pro and started having issues with the power button. I first took it to the original retailer, and they told me that since I only had the extended warranty and not accidental coverage, my only option was to send it to Apple for repair at an estimated cost of around $1,900. That was obviously not what I wanted to hear.
I then brought my laptop to CPR and worked with Edgar, and I’m very glad I did. He quickly diagnosed the problem and found corrosion where the power button connects to the motherboard. He explained everything clearly and was honest about the repair. Edgar fixed the issue for a fraction of the cost and my MacBook works perfectly now. Professional, knowledgeable, and fair pricing. I highly recommend CPR in Skokie and especially Edgar if you want real solutions without getting ripped off.”

“I came here about a year ago and honestly I’m so sorry I’m late for a review but this company is that good. I didn’t forget about their services. They were fast and extremely friendly. They gave me a discount and my phone, because of them, still works excellently up to now. When I got it back, the screen was better than its original! I also talked to a guy traveling from like an hour away who came to see these guys. To paraphrase what he said, he was pretty much telling me this place is worth the drive. “What a great experience from start too finish! I dropped my CPU a few months ago and couldn't pick it up due to back surgery. They held it for me until I recovered. I came in today to pick it up and everything was done and reloaded into a flash drive! Wow, so excited to finally get my photos from 1995! “Joe and Bob at Royal Home Entertainment were able to magically transform my “rat’s nest” of dozens of non-terminated and unlabeled cat5 cables into a seamless multi-room wifi system controlling four rooms and two 5.1 surround theater areas, using different TVs (one TCL Roku and one Sharp) across a mesh network. It took two days of hard work but Bob was incredibly patient throughout the process, tenacious, answered all my questions, worked closely with the Denom support team, and spent extra time and effort (at no cost) making it all look cosmetically nice by adding new wall plates and organizing the mess of cables. Couldn’t recommend them more highly!”

“I came to this location because I filed a claim through Asurion from my phone provider. I was slightly frustrated about the claim process from Asurion, as it has changed multiple times and has not been as easy as it was in the past, but coming to this location took all of my frustration away.Within an hour from filing, a technician from uBreakiFix River North called me to find out exactly what was wrong with my phone and when I was planning on coming in to drop it off. He was extremely friendly and assured me that it would be a quick fix. The same tech that I spoke with on the phone was the one who completed the drop off process and again, extremely friendly and let me know that I would have my phone back that same night (which Asurion CS reps and AT&T did not do).Overall, what started as a stressful situation was solved easily because of the technician at this specific location. I was 100% ready to cancel my insurance plan with Asurion/AT&T and switch to Apple Care had it not been for this location.”
