“I was 10 mins out on my 1 hour commute to work on a Friday evening, and my car starting bumping, and my check engine light came on. OMG I had a 3 night work weekend at the hospital ahead of me and this comes up now! What am I going to do??? It was 5:03 pm. On the chance that Ken might still be there at LG Auto, I called, and he answered. I explained my dilemma, and he went above the call of duty and helped me out. He waited 10 mins for me to slowly bump my way to the shop. He gave me a loaner car (free) to use until my car got evaluated and fixed on Monday. My repair bill was $316 and I was on my way, problem free. LG auto is absolutely the best place I've ever taken my car. The service is personalized and exceptional.”

“Jimmy doesn't know this, but I am President of his Fan Club. After talking out a few deer with my convertible Sebring, I was Blessed To Find Him And His Business. I will Never Go Anywhere Else, in my Opinion, He Is The Best. I drove a semi over the road the last 26yrs, never hit a deer, I move up here from Wheeling and smack into 3 of them cuz there in a hurry for sex, who knew? I never know when it's mating season till I hit one, then they have the nerve to give me the Stink Eye as they run away, meanwhile my car looks like someone beat the snot out of it. I never seem to really hurt them. It feels like hitting A tree, and it Sucks!!!”

“December 2022 -> felt my car bouncing from the back left while driving. Thought I popped a tire or completely damaged my suspension. Struts back struts needed to be replaced because they were the original/factory parts and were basically giving way.Spring 2023 ->front struts replaced because back ones were and both times, car was ready to go like that.July 2023 -> heard a hissing/squealing noise from under the car. New brakes I got in January 2022 were failing because I did quite the amount of driving. Front brakes needed to be replaced first. Brakes replaced quick and easily.September 2023 -> check engine light came on again. Thought I had more misfires with my coils. smoke test was done to be safe since I need an emissions test this year (hence the check engine light). Turns out the EVAP canister (original/factory part) needed to be replaced. Rear brakes needed replacing as well. Rear brakes replaced, smoke test done, an oil change was needed for me as well. Had to come back the next week because the EVAP canister that was ordered wasn’t the correct one. Immediately ordered a new one and the correct one is in the car, working like a charm.Long story short, you need your car fixed, call this shop ASAP. Quick to problem solve and deal with the situation at hand. I can’t thank them enough for keeping my 2005 car running to this day and always helping in general when maintenance is needed.”

“I was on I94 on Saturday afternoon over the Labor Day holiday when my car started making a very unpleasant sound. I got off the expressway at Gurnee and looked up auto repair shops nearby. I called Jose and he said to bring my car straight over. Everyone at the shop was really friendly and Jose looked at my car straight away. Within an hour I left the shop with a fixed car. “In a day and age where reviews seem to be handed out to companies like so many tickets to the fair, it is a rare thing to behold a reputable company deserving of a 5 star review! Collision Solutions is definitely a company that should get 6 stars, were it possible! When I first brought my car in to get it checked, Hal, showed his wealth of knowledge in dealing with the insurance companies. Hal questioned me as to my policy and showed me where the other guys were just going to install an after-market part on my new 2019 VW Beetle ConvertibleFinal Edition! He assisted in obtaining the correct parts for my car. He questioned the estimate from the other company that I showed him, where they were not going to put OEM parts on my car! He contacted the insurance company and showed them where they were mistakenly swapping out after market parts in stead of OEM and got the correction taken care of immediately!Hal and his crew received my VW Beetle on a Wednesday at 10 am and by Friday it was a completed job! I didn't even have to call for a rental as Hal set everything up before I even got there. Not only did these guys do a fantastic job on the outside, but vacuumed and cleaned the inside as well so that when I received my car back, I was just overjoyed that it looked so absolutely brand new! They'll give you a report of their inspection and prioritize which repairs or replacements need to occur, based on your budget. They'll be frank about repairs that may not have to be done immediately, and recommend when indeed your vehicle should return.I started out as a customer of the Gages Lake shop, at the time residing down the street from The Gages Lake road garage. As I have since moved further north, I now visit their Lake Villa shop; once again, thankfully being a short walk away.That said, even if I were 50 mi away I would still prefer to bring my vehicles here... They're trustworthy, competent, and practical. Heck, at both shops there have been occasions when they found less expensive ways to fix an issue and subsequently charged me LESS than their original quote... Passing on the savings to me.”
