“I went to this store to buy a replacement cabinet hinge. They didn’t have what I needed but they went out of their way to find a local store that carried the item. They called the store and printed out the exact product I needed. If they were this helpful in finding a product from a local competitor, I can only imagine how helpful they would be if I was their customer.

“The store is so well stocked and neatly arranged, it was a real surprise to me while I was waiting for my knives to be sharpened. I found coffee, machines, vacuum, cleaners, and all kinds of tools, lightbulbs, even shoe insoles. It’s got the amount of merchandise in Menards in a very small space so if you don’t like a lot of walking, go to Ace, the service machines lawnmowers, maybe, fix windows and screen doors and perhaps other services that I’m not aware of if you have to call.”
“I have walked in to harbor freight and asked a person who was working and he got me to my destination of the store for what I need I am so happy for that customer service way to go keep it up and I will come back”
“I wanted a very specific box of screws they didn't have, but only because I'm very stubborn. They had lots of similar screws. Very handy location to serve Barrington and a huge variety of products. Plenty of parking easy in and out.”
“We have purchased our hardware needs from Lake Forest Ace Hardware since we moved here years ago.
One of our purchases was a large Weber grill.
Late last week we had a storm in the area and our beautiful grill was picked up by a micro burst and tossed across the patio.
We called the hardware owner Chris and he personally came over and placed everything inside it that was all tossed into a mess back in perfect order and made sure it was working perfectly.
WHO DOES THAT !!!……..YOU CAN DEPEND ON THEM !!

“Tom at the Lake Zurich Rental center really helped me out. I was planning on renting a sewer rodding machine because my shower was backing up. After listening to my issue tom suggested the issue was in my septic field. Turns out I took the cover off and the tank was totally full. Tom chose to help me solve my problem over the phone instead of just trying to rent me a piece of equipment. I will think of this rental department whenever I need another tool to rent. “The employee is excellent! Today, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., I missed my way to the Social Security Administration facility when I was near the store. Therefore, I entered the facility to ask for help with finding my road directions because I was nervous about not being at my appointment on time. I was politely assisted by a kind man who worked as the register cashier at the store. His help allowed me to be at my appointment on time. I would like to come to this store for my electronic items in the future. THANKS!”

“We headed to RH Outlet on a Saturday in search of a king sized bed frame. We were greeted and helped by Howard, who was wonderful - polite and helpful. We found a bed we liked for a great price and we used one of the 3rd party delivery recos they provided. The transporit movers were excellent and everything went extremely smoothly! The gallery and selection are huge and this is definitely worth checking out. Just remember you'll have to pay a bit extra for delivery if you don't have a large vehicle. Totally worth it in my opinion!”

“I don’t usually write online reviews for quick retail runs, but the incredible service I received at the Long Grove Menards deserves to be called out. In a world where big-box stores often ignore you unless you're dropping thousands of dollars, this team proved that every single customer matters. I bought a couple small items being electrical outlets and hardware to finish a small project and the staff here was incredibly helpful (Robert and Sean). Store was also very clean and insanely organized. Bye bye Home Depot!!! Menards just earned another repeat customer”
