“The amazing employee who took care of me today is named Kiki (apologies if spelled wrong!) She did an amazing job! It was my first time setting up a P.O. Box and so naturally, I had a lot of questions so it took quite a while before it everything finally got set up. Kiki was very helpful and I couldn’t thank her enough for being very patient with me, considering I was asking a lot of questions haha. “I actually drove past two other post offices to come here. It's fifteen minutes from my house, while the other two are less than five. I did this because those offices had extremely low ratings, even if you account for a skewed ratio (generally, unhappy customers rate businesses far more often than happy customers). I was not disappointed. All I found here was friendliness and efficiency. Darlene was an absolute gem. I honestly did not have the energy to deal with someone grumpy today, and while I don't begrudge anyone having a bad day, I just wanted to see a friendly face, especially since I had an unusual mail request. The Midlothian post office delivered, pun intended. ❤️”

Rescheduled for the next day at Hazel Crest.These 2 ladies, Andrea was one, I didn’t catch the other, but both were very pleasant, very kind, helpful, and just all around made the whole experience amazing and efficient. I was in, had a pic taken, paid and out in 15 minutes or less.Best customer service I’ve had anywhere in a long time! Thank you !!”

“My family and I had a passport appointment. However, when we arrived there were no passport forms available according to a USPS representative because they are waiting to receive updated passport forms. That created an inconvenience. We went to Office Depot to print the passport form. We were so glad that it was right down the street. When we returned to USPS post office there was a long line so we missed our appointment. However, a USPS representative assisted us and were were able to complete the passport process. We received good customer service despite the issue with the forms.”

“Came in today on September 20, 2025 and they opened at 8:23, not 8am as stated. While we waited in the lobby for the employees to open, you could hear people laughing and cackling in the back. After the long wait, I was told that the fingerprinting clerk was not available. There were no signs no warnings that this person was would not be available for the services I needed. Then I was directed to a far away post office and Park Forest.”

“The staff at this location are always nice and friendly when ever I need to ask a question or need a service, especially Mr Thomas. As with most jobs dealing in public service and in particular this post office, there are times when services are not at their best but I attribute this to short staffing and staff turnover in the area of Mail Carriers. It it takes time to acclimate to an experienced mail carrier. Let us all move in the spirit of patience and understanding.”

Before Amy saved the day, another employee (who was immediately irritated that we existed) had turned us away, based on inaccurate & not up-to-date info about the process. But Amy came to the rescue, confirmed what I thought I'd accurately read, and saw to the task with aplomb, cheer, & good humor. She 100% turned a sour, failed experience with my 16yo into one that brought joy & got our passport paperwork successfully on it's way. To Amy!!!”
