We became pretty much stranded in Illinois so we went down to this shop for Mannie to take a look and diagnose an issue. He figured it out, we got the part overnighted, and the next day he fixed it. “Been working with Sun for about 1.5 years to keep my low mileage 2006 Toyota Matrix XR on the road. This car has a reputation for lasting forever if you care for it. Yesterday, I presented with an exhaust rumble and was braced to deal with a total replacement running into 4 figures. Sun told me a heat shield had come off due to corroded connection parts (I think I have this right...). Anyway, they fixed it for $88! A mechanic with no scruples could have really taken me to the cleaners, and I would have been none the wiser. Sun is very honest, knowledgeable and competent - plus they are right on the 77-Belmont bus line. I am sticking with them for good!”

“I called Jake this morning after seeing good reviews and how geographically close he is to me (I'm new to the area). I had what I thought was just a slow leak in a tire, so I told him it was no rush. He said he was busy, but didn't want me to be driving on a potentially bad tire, so he said to come in at 1:00 and he'd squeeze me in. I got there right at 1:00, he took my car right away, and less than 30 minutes later, I was on my way with a permanent patch in my tire (which would have definitely been completely flat by tomorrow had Jake not made time for me today). He is a super nice, genuine man who seems to really care about making sure everyone gets his best work in a timely manner. I would trust him with any other work my car may need.”
