“One of my top 3 Aldi in the country. Yep, I have been to so many. I can say that. Always clean. Staff are always helpful and kind. This location has a variety of ethnic and hard to find foods. This Aldi has more of the healthy options than most.
However, it is such a great Aldi that the Aldi finds disappear quickly! Heehee”
“The truth is that they have the best tacos in the area. I have tried about 20 restaurants from Round Lake to Elgin. I cannot say that they are the best because I lack restaurants to try, but I dare to say that the sauces are very delicious, sometimes even richer. but always good sauces, bad experiences, I have not had in this place, the truth is, the size of the tacos is very good, I do not post photos because I have never taken them, but I will do so on my next visit because I am going to compare them with a restaurant where I had a bad experience.”
“This place absolutely blew me out of the water! Unbelievable selection that I can’t find anywhere else. The guy behind the counter was incredibly knowledgeable about all that is craft beer, and I was beyond impressed.”
“Great spot for bait. I will stop here for my fresh bait on the way to one of the small lakes nearby. Staff is always fantastic, Glad they are around given we don’t have any other options for minnows that I’m aware of.”
“This place has all the Asian staples you need (mostly Chinese and Taiwanese) when you don't want to drive out to Hmart and a lot of the items are priced even better than the larger stores. Some days you'll find fresh bakery and food items like peking duck and chicken feet. Great little place in the suburbs!”
“This place had homemade Posole which is amazing!!! A needle in the haystack find. They also have authentic Mexico herbal tea leaves such as cola de caballo (helps with kidney stones, tract infections, etc) if you want to experience the real Mexican culture in Illinois.. here is your best chance!”
“This supermarket is not your typical midwest supermarket. Its a little dirty and you won't find common things you may find at Jewel or Mariannos, however if you're looking for cool/interesting foods this is a great destination! They also have very good prices.”
“It's good to see this store now has hard working employees who are actually stocking the shelves and cleaning up the store. For a long time they had some pretty terrible employees who would be very rude to customers or just stand there on their phones watching tv. They have a lot of new products now as well too! Definitely will be back!!”
“This location on Maple st Mundelein, Illinois. Is my favorite Jewel Osco. The staff of all ages are so kind and helpful. The store is always clean, and mostly well stocked (unless a big game or storm. Like everywhere else.)
I also like that the store supports LBGTQ and helping those that have a hard time finding work because of that or disabilities.”
“I shop at Jewel often and almost always use the self serve method to checkout. I have always had a good experience when needing help with buying a gift card or had an issue with getting my produce scanned that didn’t have a UPC sticker attached.It’s been a specific pleasure working with a young assistant manager named Amy that was very helpful and friendly to me. Amy was quick to help when I was there recently with her (under 21) co-worker that needed assistance with an alcohol purchase; also when someone who needed an answer to a customer question. Amy is an asset to your Lake St. Mundelein Jewel store.”
