She is incredibly patient, attentive, and sensitive to his needs, and it is clear how much she genuinely cares about the animals she works with. Idalys always goes above and beyond for Roscoe and does not give up on him, no matter how resistant or anxious he may be. She remains patient and determined to make sure he receives the care he needs while keeping him as comfortable as possible. When Roscoe had an ear infection, Idalys took the time to patiently explain how to apply his ear drops and showed us different ways to make sure we were doing it correctly. Roscoe was anxious and resistant, but she was so gentle and reassuring with him that she helped him feel calm and comfortable. Idalys truly has a caring, tender touch and such a big heart for animals. She treats Roscoe as if he were her own, and that means so much to us. We always feel completely comfortable trusting her with Roscoe’s care, and it is always a pleasure to have her take care of him. “The best vet experience we've had since moving home to Chicago from LA in 2020. We started at the Ravenswood location and then moved over to the Logan Square location. Been bringing our 2 dogs here for a couple years now and so pleased with everything about this spot! Previously tried another vet in Lincoln Park, but they were not compatible with our anxious german shepherd mix. Once we found BLVD, we were golden. Everyone on staff is so caring, gentle, and patient. They take the extra 5 minutes making sure your dog is comfortable and relaxed before starting the exam. This made all the difference with our anxious pup and we were finally able to have a successful vet visit, after multiple failed attempts over the years. Can't thank them enough. They sincerely love animals and it's evident in the way they approach and treat each animal. Can't imagine ever going to another vet.”

“We had the best experience at Becker Animal Hospital in Northfield, Illinois! My dog, Bodhi, had a dental under anesthesia in March of 2025. In December, our vet noticed Bodhi needed another teeth cleaning. I didn’t want him to receive anesthesia again so soon, especially because his breed is sensitive. I found Becker Animal on an internet search for non-anesthesia dental cleanings; they were highly rate. The ratings are spot on! It was a wonderful experience. Our dog had a temperament evaluation with a vet at Becker first. After, he was able to have a full teeth cleaning without anesthesia. The total cost was $305. Bodhi was wrapped in a blanket and his teeth were cleaned in the technicians lap. It only took about 30 minutes. The treatment included cold laser on his gums to help with swelling, and a post-treatment consultation to review his dental hygiene, findings, and optional dental products. We left with a goodie bag including a dental chew, toothpaste and a toothbrush. Before and after pics and Bodhi in goggles for laser treatment. Yes, they even take pictures for you! The office was friendly, helpful, and communicated beautifully. Stacey manages the dental bookings. She is excellent with answering questions and scheduling. A+ experience!”

“Made the switch to Ravenswood Animal Hospital for my cat when I moved into the area and I cannot recommend them enough. They are simultaneously organized, punctual, and efficient while still personable, patient, and communicative. Each time I needed support and advice, they gave detailed and individualized recommendations, also emailing recs for convenience and following up with a phone call a few days later. When I was out of town for a month, my cat became sick and they worked hand in hand with my mom to give her the care and attention she needed. I full heartedly believe Dr Mitchell and all the staff here (in addition to my mom) are the only reason I got to see my cat again upon my return. I can never thank them enough for that. Putting her down was a hard decision, but their guidance, empathy, and focus on quality of life aided in those difficult decisions. Thank you for all that you guys do. Should I ever adopt another animal in the future, I know where I will be taking them for care. ❤”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Roscoe Village Animal Hospital. I have been with this practice essentially from the beginning. I was a patient of Dr. Rovner’s back when he was still at Higgins, before Roscoe Village Animal Hospital even opened, so between him and RVAH, they have cared for my animals for close to 30 years. Dr. Rovner was absolutely incredible with every animal I brought to him, and they all adored him. When he retired, I will admit that I was nervous about the transition. After trusting someone with my animals for that many years, change is hard! I could not be happier with the care we have continued to receive. Cristina, the new DVM, has been absolutely wonderful, and every other veterinarian and staff member I have interacted with has been fantastic as well. They are incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly, they are SO good with my dog. There was a period when I lived out of state and had to use other veterinary practices, and it made me appreciate RVAH even more. The level of care simply was not the same. In fact, having access to Roscoe Village Animal Hospital again was genuinely one of the reasons I moved back to Illinois. My dog recently had surgery, and I will freely admit that I turn into a complete ball of nerves when something is wrong with one of my animals. I ask a million questions, I worry about everything, and I know I can be a little bit much! Everyone at RVAH has been unbelievably patient and kind with me through the entire process. They have answered my questions, reassured me when I needed it, kept me informed, and never once made me feel like I was bothering them even though i genuinely was being too much. After nearly 30 years of trusting this practice with animals that mean the world to me, I think one of the biggest compliments I can give is that even through such a major transition, I still feel like my dog is in incredibly good hands. I am so grateful to Cristina and the entire team at Roscoe Village Animal Hospital for everything they have done for us. I truly cannot recommend them highly enough. ❤”
