“We had the best experience at Becker Animal Hospital in Northfield, Illinois!
My dog, Bodhi, had a dental under anesthesia in March of 2025. In December, our vet noticed Bodhi needed another teeth cleaning. I didn’t want him to receive anesthesia again so soon, especially because his breed is sensitive. I found Becker Animal on an internet search for non-anesthesia dental cleanings; they were highly rate. The ratings are spot on! It was a wonderful experience.
Our dog had a temperament evaluation with a vet at Becker first. After, he was able to have a full teeth cleaning without anesthesia. The total cost was $305. Bodhi was wrapped in a blanket and his teeth were cleaned in the technicians lap. It only took about 30 minutes. The treatment included cold laser on his gums to help with swelling, and a post-treatment consultation to review his dental hygiene, findings, and optional dental products. We left with a goodie bag including a dental chew, toothpaste and a toothbrush. Before and after pics and Bodhi in goggles for laser treatment. Yes, they even take pictures for you! The office was friendly, helpful, and communicated beautifully. Stacey manages the dental bookings. She is excellent with answering questions and scheduling. A+ experience!”

I love that they are family owned and not part of some nationwide chain. They were also reasonably priced. The vet, Dr. Fedyniaks, who examined my dog was loving and honest about the services I needed or didn’t need.”

She will make time on her lunch break to go to someone's house and provide euthanasia services because it's best for that client. She has always gone above and beyond for my dog family and that is so very important to me.”

They were upfront about pricing and any treatments that were needed were discussed throughly before hand. I was also able to book a same day appointment which was incredibly helpful because the feline was running a fever. All vets are expensive these days so pricing was comparable to most veterinarian offices.”

“Made the switch to Ravenswood Animal Hospital for my cat when I moved into the area and I cannot recommend them enough. They are simultaneously organized, punctual, and efficient while still personable, patient, and communicative. Each time I needed support and advice, they gave detailed and individualized recommendations, also emailing recs for convenience and following up with a phone call a few days later.
When I was out of town for a month, my cat became sick and they worked hand in hand with my mom to give her the care and attention she needed. I full heartedly believe Dr Mitchell and all the staff here (in addition to my mom) are the only reason I got to see my cat again upon my return. I can never thank them enough for that. Putting her down was a hard decision, but their guidance, empathy, and focus on quality of life aided in those difficult decisions.

She spent a great amount of time with our pooch at each visit. We were always able to get an appointment when we needed. When our pooch declined she told us the signs to watch for. Our family is very grateful for all the love and care we received from the entire staff. Our sweet doggie is now in heaven and we will see him again one day.”

“When I was fostering my dog this was the vet the shelter was bringing him to. I love that they work with shelters to help lower costs for that population. When I adopted my pup it was an easy decision to keep them as his vet. Worth the longer drive for us. I have had the best care every time I have an appointment. And when I have any concerns I send an email and they respond same day. I highly recommend Kohn.
Also my dog is not dog friendly and they schedule appointments so you are the only one in the waiting room. I have never run into another animal when coming in or out and that helps keep the animals calmer. A wonderful touch to what could be a stressful experience for the animal. 10/10”
“Dr. Klingsporn handled my semi-feral cat like a charm! We were so impressed. We need two people to put him in the carrier and the Dr. checked up on my cat by himself. He is knowledgeable. He figured out the auto-immune things my cat has which 3 different vets couldn’t before. Will bring my kitties here and I recommend anyone too.”
