“Bloomingdale’s The Outlet Store in Northbrook offers a variety of men's and women's apparel. While it's possible to find brands like Rag & Bone, Vince, Aqua, and Boss, the selection during my recent visit wasn't the best—perhaps due to the season. I typically travel from Wisconsin to Chicago to shop for my husband and myself because I prefer to see the items in person to verify the quality and fit, which can be different from online photos. Despite being an outlet, the prices remain high, so I hope to see a better selection and higher quality on my next visit to justify the trip over shopping online.”

Anastasia is amazing! She first helped me pick out some jewelry and then I ran into her again in the beauty section where she helped me choose perfumes too

One of the biggest challenges at this store is that there are no testers, so it’s really hard to know how things smell. But she knew almost every scent — seriously impressive!

“This store has it all! Great selection, lots of new items, and always something interesting to discover. I stopped in this time to buy a toy and was impressed with the variety they offer. One surprise at checkout—I was asked if I wanted to purchase a plastic bag for 10 cents. I know that’s common in Chicago, but I didn’t expect it in the suburbs. Still, great overall experience and I’ll definitely be back!”

“The young high school kids were kind of rude and dismissive when I asked them for help on looking for some Ugg boots. One of them made a comment stating how stuck off and snobby I was. I am not. He just didn’t wanted to help me after I asked him to. The manager Donna (I think that’s her name) saved the whole situation. She and the other ladies and 2 dudes tried to look for the boots that I was looking for. That manager deserved a raise and that child (whomever he belongs to, and clearly he didn’t sound like he came from our northbrook areas) needs to learn customer service.”
