“Great little family owned shoe store, took my mom which has abnormal feet (size 10 W, not just any Wide will do ?) & they were so attentive, helpful & friendly. ✅ Example: they asked what kind of shoe is she looking for & what size, then they kept bringing shoes out to her, for her to try on! Then when she found one, it was actually a bit tight but they actually made it wider (just for her! ?) because it's leather & can be widen out. I didn't even know they could do that! At the end, she did ended up buying them, she has been looking for shoes for more than 6 years, I'm so glad that the 1st time coming here. We found what were looking for & it only took the right place to go to; find that the shoe fits.”

“Murphy's service is like service used to be. They know their stuff. The salesman (I forgot his name) asked a couple of questions and came back with a couple of styles. One was very close to what I like, but not perfect. He went in the back of the shop and came back with a couple more to try on. The first one was the one. They don't have a large selection, which I wasn't looking for. All I wanted was a good fit and a shoe for my type of workout. As for price I went to Zappos and the shoes were the same price and I got great service. Thanks”

“At the beginning of the year the boots I was looking for were not to be found anywhere in the country. Fast forward to this week. I called corporate after hours and left a voicemail. After I hung up I sent a message on the contact us from your website. A few days later I received a call from very helpful young lady. (I do not remember her name but I would love for her to get some recognition the call was on 10-13-2023 at 12:33) she asked for the style number size also width. She gave me the number to a store in Utah that had 6 pairs and a store in Illinois that had 2 pairs. 3 min call was all it took. I called the store in Illinois. Again a very attentive and helpful gentleman. I told him what I was looking for, he went and confirmed they had them and he told me about a promotion they had going on and I believe it took $30 off the price. I paid for the boots and he said they would ship out and be no later than next Friday. I then checked my email and had a message from Tim basically asking the same questions as the young lady that called me. I sent him a reply explaining I just got off the phone with her and was very appreciative. That being said, your customer service is top notch. I have been wearing Redwings/Irish Setters for the past 20+ years and will continue to. Customer for life. The only boots I will buy.Thank you!Zak”

“I just picked up my slippers at John's Shoe Store. I'm happy to report that I'm completely impressed by the craftsmanship and care he put into repairing my favorite slippers. They ripped in the back and I wanted him to stitch them up so I could get a little more use out of them. Instead, he replaced the entire inside back of the slippers with new leather on both slippers and expertly sewed them in the back, making them as good as new! I highly recommend patronizing his shop if you need shoes repaired, as unfortunately, craftsmanship and pride in one's work is a dying art.”

There was also a great selection of boots and nicer dress shoes for special events. Definitely tailored more towards an older generation and the prices are very high. The owner remembers my son every time that we come in, and is very good with him to make trying on shoes so easy including bringing out toys that interest him. My son has very hard-to-fit feet and recently received orthotics, which can make buying shoes very difficult, but not at Fit To Be Tied. The owner is so knowledgeable and experienced about fitting kids shoes including orthotics, and she always sends us home with the perfect and great fitting high quality shoe that lasts.”
