“I went into the store today to find some plastic glides to replace the ones that had been broken off the current Tropitone deck chairs that I bought at The Great Escape last year. Evan at the front desk was an amazing help. He was able to find some extra glides and provided them to me at no cost. I was very happy when I first received my new deck set with the level of service and responsiveness of the staff at this location, but that was just reinforced today when Evan displayed the same level of commitment to their product and customers as they did in the past. “I visited Walter E. Smith Furniture in Oak Brook to pick up a painting I had seen available in-store. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by Senior Designer Cate, who welcomed me warmly with a smile and asked if I was looking for anything specific.
I showed her the SKU number and an image of the painting I was interested in. She kindly assisted me as we searched the store together, and we eventually located it on the second floor. The piece was just as beautiful in person as it had been online, and I decided to purchase it.
Because of her professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness, I asked Cate for help envisioning additional decor for the space where the painting would be hung. I shared a photo of the room, and she thoughtfully helped me select complementary pieces, including a lamp, jars, and vases that enhanced the overall atmosphere and design direction I was going for.
She spent at least an hour with me and was patient, attentive, and never once made me feel rushed or secondary to other customers. Her expertise in design and commitment to customer service were exceptional.
I would highly recommend Cate to anyone shopping at Walter E. Smith in Oak Brook.”

“Good product. Support absolutely sucks. Order arrived and one of the boxes was missing pieces. Tried to chat with support. Couldn't start a chat. Tried to email support. It has been a week and no response. Tried to call and nobody answers the phone. Hours listed on the website say support is available until 7PM EST, but support is MIA.

Was finally able to get in touch wtih support. The person was nice and did send out the needed parts. Raising the review as support did make things right.”

“We have always enjoyed buying from this Ballard location but our experience Yesterday inspired me to write feedback. Our young daughter was having a difficult time but we had hoped to buy some items for our small renovation while we were in the area. We were about to walk back out as soon as we walked in, but Felicia met us with a smile and was incredibly kind and helpful. “I discovered Calico Corner of Hinsdale, IL moved to Oak Brook on 22nd Street just west of Summit. The fabric design store is now known as Calico. It is a beautiful store with a wide array of colorful and interesting fabrics to choose from. The consultant was very generous with her time and talents. A home visit was offered and eagerly accepted. Annie, one of the design consultants, came to my home with many options. She helped me select a gorgeous print for recovering dining room chairs, making interesting accent pillows, and a cushion for my entry way. The advice offered and time spent with Annie helped me select the perfect material which coordinated well with my style and color scheme. A very generous discount was being offered to professionally recover chairs and sew accent pillows. I highly recommend seeking out Calico in Oak Brook for assistance with home decorating projects.!”

“I have to admit that I miss Marshall Fields, but they have done a great job modernizing this store. Moving housewares out of the basement and moving it upstairs does work. My tip is check out the discounted cloths section.”

“There are so many Breville espresso machines on the market, we weren’t chancing a bad/disappointing purchase on Amazon. Lisa, a sales associate approached us politely and asked if we had any questions. She relayed the differences between the models and even other brands, then made a cappuccino for us from the Oracle Jet we were leaning towards.

We also bought espresso and cappuccino glasses and a mass of dish towels (WS’s are the best).

And it got better. They offered to issue a claim check and hang on to our purchases until we were ready to leave the mall. We called them when ready, and they brought our purchases to our car. And thanked us again with a smile.

She immediately made me feel that Crate &Barrel would help me and I knew immediately that I was in very capable hands. Within a short period of time I received a message stating that my account was cleared. I have worked retail for over twenty years and I recognize an employee that a company can be proud to have. “Love Joss&Main Oakbrook. Theresa has been so helpful with helping refresh our home. The only problem I had was the assembly portion of my second purchase with her. No one contacted us at all to set up a time for assembly. Our chairs have been sitting in a box for 5 days. Theresa was able to assist with refunding me and for sure we will be in touch to purchase more. She also introduced us to one of her designers to help with the rest of our home. I would give 5 stars with the exception of the assembly snafu.

“I really wish I got the gal's name who was working with me so I could properly compliment her -- she was WONDERFUL! She had wavy, boho styled hair and brown framed glasses.

I came in with a friend this past Saturday while on the way to a bridal shower in hopes to grab something off of the bride's registry. They only had one of the things on the registry and despite this being entirely our fault for waiting until the final hour, the gal we were working with ran all over the store to make sure we had two gifts to bring. In the end we got creative with the second one and made it work! While she was ringing, another sales associate jumped in to help wrap and their energy was upbeat and a great time. They turned something that was a big stressful mistake on our part into a quick and easily handled situation! (And we never had to walk further than the cash wrap!)”
