Lifetime Oak Brook is a beautiful, super clean gym that offers an excellent overall fitness experience. The facility is very well maintained, and it’s clear that the staff takes pride in keeping everything spotless. There is a huge selection of machines, free weights, and workout areas, so even during busier times I rarely have to wait for equipment. The gym feels spacious, modern, and welcoming, making it a great place to train.

One of the biggest advantages is the parking. There is plenty of parking available, which makes getting in and out quick and convenient. The staff and members are generally very friendly, and the overall atmosphere is positive and motivating. Whether you’re focused on strength training, cardio, or group fitness classes, there are plenty of options to fit your needs.

The main reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the operating hours. Considering the premium membership cost, I feel the gym closes too early. For the amount members pay, it would be nice to have later hours, especially for people who work long days or prefer evening workouts.

Overall, Lifetime Oak Brook is one of the nicest gyms in the area. It’s clean, well-equipped, has plenty of parking, and provides a high-quality fitness environment. If they extended their hours a bit more, it would easily be a 5-star experience.”

“This is a family owned and operated gym, which helps to create a very unique vibe. There is a very connected, neighborhoody feel about this gym. This atmosphere, which has been cultivated by owners, staff, and area patrons, is difficult to replicate in a big-box, chain gym. Aside from the overall vibe, I like that the people at Elite are upfront with regard to their pricing. There are no guessing games. Their rates are listed on their Web site. They also offer a ten punch card so you can try out the gym before you make a commitment. Those who workout at Elite seem to be connected members of the local community. I find that the clientele is friendly, respectful, and fitness-focused. Lastly, the gym is located in a very cute area of Western Springs. There are several local businesses nearby that you can visit before or after a workout. It's also important to note that parking has never been an issue for me at Elite.”

“Excellent, 24-hour, old-school iron gym. A day pass is $17. They have a little bit of everything from fat-grip dumbbells to belt squat. There are two separate buildings a half block apart. One for upper body and one for lower body.”

“I was with OTF back in 2021 for 6 months and came back in July 2023 and still go today. Every type of person comes here and I love it. Old, young, different body types, fitness levels - it's a great community!
The studio is immaculate and always clean. Not only do they have you wipe down a machine/station when you're done with it, but they will also clean after morning/evening sessions. The front desk staff is always friendly and willing to help answer any questions you may have. There are lockers on-site with locks so you can lock your items away while you're in class. Along with showers as well if you need it after class. The classes are never fully booked with a wait list (I've had yet to see that happen unless it's a specialty class).
It may be a little pricey, but it's well worth it! Look at it as you're paying for personal training within a group setting. I've mainly trained with Coaches Stacy and Tony, and they're amazing! Tell them your goals and what you're looking to accomplish. I also love that they aren't drill sergeants. They can see where your heart rate is at throughout the class on a screen and they're not going to push you to do something you can't (I can't always keep up and that's okay!). They offer modification options if you can't do something. The classes change every day, so it's never the same. The music is always on point and I truly love coming to this OTF to get my workout in and see some great people!”

“How does it start?With an email or a phone call.How does it end?Don’t know. Still going here six months later.Ian and Emily are AMAZING people. That’s easy enough to say, but let me back it up.I took the leap and sent an email to them that I had never really lifted weights. I mostly did cardio exercises. Ian responded promptly and set up a phone call to discuss what goes on at their gym. The first personal training session was free so I tried it.You know that thing that you eat that you can’t put down once you try some. That’s what this was like except way more expensive. It makes you stop and think, but ultimately the question you have to ask yourself is what would you pay to be HEALTHY and HAPPY each week?Ian works with you to create a workout plan that FITS WHAT YOU WANT including workouts for days when you’re at home or your regular gym. He’s there to give you ADVICE on nutrition and eating/drinking right for your goals. It’s up to you on what you decide to do and he doesn’t care whether you take his advice or not. He’s the same regardless. Scheduling is flexible and is done personally via texts. That’s right, you have contact with Ian even when you’re not working out with him and you have normal conversations. HE'S INVESTING HIS TIME IN MAKING YOU A BETTER PERSON.From a workout perspective, there are a variety of workouts that you end up doing and they will repeat. You’re there to get progressive gains over time and the only way to do that is to repeat the workouts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. When you hit a plateau, he’ll change it up and you’ll do different workouts for a little while. At the end of each session is a random 5 minute variety of exercises that are more intense than the rest of the workout. “The Finisher” as Ian calls them. That said, I’ve never left a workout overly sore to the point where I can’t function the next day. As you do more and more workouts and they repeat, you might ask yourself “Why do I still need to come here?” “Couldn’t I do this myself now?”IT'S NOT JUST A WORKOUT. It’s life, and that’s one of the best parts is the conversations with Ian about anything and everything. Ian has been one of the most influential people in my life. This comes from discussions about future life goals, careers, philosophical questions, book recommendations, etc. The monumental change he’s made in my life from a mental perspective is something he probably doesn’t realize and something I don't know that I can ever overstate. I don’t know that everyone can expect that, but I do know that you can expect the workout you have at i.e. Fitness to be one of the highlights of your week. As I mentioned before he’s invested his time in making you a better person and he will push you to be better. He will give you that motivation to try harder when you don’t want to or think that you can’t do something. He will push you to your limits, but not push you over them.I know what you're thinking. What about Emily? While I've never worked out with her, I've been lucky enough to be at the gym when she's working out with someone or just stopping by the gym. She's a nice person who brings an energetic atmosphere to the gym with a bubbly personality albeit terrible taste in music :). It is thanks to her I have never been more nervous to lose to a six year old kid and I'm pretty sure she's the reason Ian is so great.If you've gotten this far, my RECOMMENDATION to you is to TAKE THAT FIRST FREE SESSION and then decide for yourself what you think is the best thing for you in your life.Have an amazing day!”

My only feedback is I wish they had more options for cable pulley systems with the lat put down and cable row combo like most anytime fitnesses have. They have one option but it’s crammed into a corner and hard to share with others who need it. Otherwise, the gym is great!!”
