“They have a surprisingly decent selection of board games considering their small footprint, and their prices are acceptable. You can usually find a good deal on something 10-30% off on occasion too, if you aren't picky.”
“Brought in coins from my dad’s collection. I tried to find out the cost of coins on my own and was overwhelmed. Then didn’t even know how to begin to sell them. Went to Oakton Coins and Collectables. They went through them and gave me a price. We sold to them and trusted they were being fair! I’ll probably never know but made that deco to sell to them. Hard to part with my dad’s collection but we lived in Oakton for my entire youth and young adult life. Maybe meant to be.”

“Massive shout out to the folks at Fair Game. I stopped in on a visit from out of town and ended up having a wonderful, appropriately nerdy conversation with the two fellows working there at the time. Based on their recommendation, I bought the Arkham Horror card game and had it shipped back home. To be honest, I was skeptical of this game because I did not enjoy other Arkham Horror games, but I bought it anyway because I wanted to support the store. It turned out to be one of our favorite games.
It is such a pleasure to get to talk to people who know games and can make thoughtful recommendations based on a single conversation. If I lived in the state, this would be my go-to game store. If you live near La Grange, stop in, have a conversation, buy a game, and maybe go back for game night. You will be happy you did!”
“Was very busy and hard to get help but after being there an hour with my kids I finally got help and was able to Purchase the slotcar I wanted/needed to race with my friend I'll definitely be back. They got a good little hidden selection of slotcars unfortunately they don't know enough to help other people ,with questions or carry new tires for the slotcars.”

Moses is an absolute gem human and we stayed in the shop for an hour just chatting with him. We spent money, and got some amazing stuff, but the experience we had conversing with him was the best part of our time in the city. More people should be like him in life! Horror movie knowledge and just genuine cool knowledge too.

Was returned fixed to me within about a week. Was very happy with it. The doll owner is very happy as well?.”

“Very happy I discovered this shop. I have never built models before. 5 months later I am on my 4th model car from this shop. This hobby shop has 100s if not thousands of model cars, tanks, planes, ships, helicopters and more. All at reasonable prices. You can get Tamaiya and other brands of acrylic paint, brushes, and other model supplies all at affordable prices. Janice is always kind and super helpful and patient. I would recommend this shop to experienced and beginner hobbyist looking to get into it. I was never a model builder but now I am an avid enthusiast thanks to Timeless Hobby Shop!”

“Where to start with Magic Inc. One word, GREAT!!!I love magic, but it's hard and expensive and takes skills, right. Well, yeah. (full disclosure, I am a beginner with magic, and this is the second magic store I have been to, for what it is worth...)But, if you are in Chicago and want to dip your toes into this skill, magic, you have to go to Magic Inc. If I lived nearby, I would be a regular just to hang out and learn from the staff and clients.Even if you just want to go to an incredibly awesome store, head to Magic Inc. No intimidation here what so ever!Friendly and professional staff that just happen to be magicians! Wow.Just walk in, say you want to learn a little about magic, and you will see some amazing things that you just might walk out with. I went in for two decks of cards and left with a great 'how to' book and two other tricks that I, a beginning magician, could do (at least my great neices think so...)Thanks, Pedro, for making my visit incredible! “When I was a kid I sometimes got dropped off at my aunt’s house in LaGrange, and my little cousin and I would skateboard here bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, dying to get a glimpse at some Yu-Gi-Oh! cards in the display case or buy a few packs or cards of our own. Yes Steven has that very dry sense of humor and droll attitude that some people might not like, but that’s PART of Steven’s experience! He’s never mean. We LOVED going and talking to him, sometimes he would get a little aggravated with us and we would turn to each other and giggle, and he would talk to us about the card game and help us understand things. If I could go back in time and relive those core memories I would without a second guess, times were much simpler when we skateboarded down the street to Steven’s. He also taught us a lot of invaluable lessons! One I still use to this day! (Read the fine print on eBay listings, they’ll send you an empty box if they can!)”

If your looking for something extremely specific I would call first a few days before so he can set it aside, at times they are busy. And cannot hunt the very rare and obscure. None the less I love the shop but no longer live in the state.”

This Michaels is very accessible, their location is very near and easy to find. You can go to their spot in just a few minutes from your area. Very convenient. The only reason why I gave them four stars is because their restrooms need some repair. But their place is still my preferred place to buy things for crafts and others. They are way better and cheaper than other stores around the place. Plus, this Michaels is also a great place to buy some decorations for Christmas and other special holidays. You can also order online and visit their website. They will bring your order to you quickly. Really wonderful spot! All of their items have really good quality. A really must-visit place for arts and crafts. I will definitely go back here again when I am nearby and I need some crafts again. Thank you for your awesome service guys!
