“Even though Some things can be far and higher than most of your food store. S the selection is beyond compare, especially with produce, it is a fantastic store. It has a fantastic Delhi meat department has everything you can imagine carries just about every single brand their sales are really, really good and they have hot food there too, like 2 or 3 different sections of hot food. “The store was remodeled and looked much better. I no longer live in the area and have been gone for years now. I was impressed compared to the way the store used to look. The only thing I had an issue with was the cashier. I feel she needs to work on her customer service skills. Otherwise I would still recommend this place and I will come back if I'm in the area.”

“Absolutely loved this family owned grocery store! Its always clean and the employees are lovely. My husband loves coming here for the deli meats and marconi bread. He was able go promptly choose from their selection (a newer offering from Budweiser) and was out in a jiffy. The area is a bit scruffy so stay on point, keep the dillying and dallying to a minimum and you should be all good.”

The woman who runs it reminds me of my grandmother, she’s always so nice and welcoming. I have tried many Nigerian food spots and now of them even comes close to her superb cooking skills. “I only come to Fairplay for the sales and It's usually well stocked. Went there for the so-called sale on oxtails. Asked a (butcher?) if they were trimmed down too much. The reply was "They have to get trimmed sweetheart." First, I hate when a condescending tone is aimed at me. Second, when too much fat is trimmed from oxtails, the cooking method is altered to insure tenderness. Lastly, whatever happened to real butchers? Not just people who work in the meat department.”

“My neighbor hood go to for deli meals! You can can count on them to hook you up with the best deli meal specials whenever you need a variety meal that taste so good! Like omg I’m 31 going on 32 and I never had bones in my meal that just melt off into the bone gris where the bone is so soft to chew and eat with the whole meal. I’m so impressed 5/5 every meal this month has tasted so good for my lunch/dinner for the day. Good job fasho!”

“Their meat is always really fresh! The breads are always soft and fresh! Their employees are always kind and helpful when I’m there! They are always well stocked. Extra points for not using latex gloves (they use nitrile) for those of us with latex allergies it’s a nice gesture!”
“I came to Abarrotes for the tamales this morning and they were fresh and delicious. Both women inside greeted me immediately after I walked in with welcoming smiles. I purchased red pork tamales, the older women’s recommendation since I do not like spicy . I asked about the other tamales she sells and she was so kind she took the time to write all the tamale variations she sells. I purchased a dozen and honestly, they were the best tamales I’ve had in the past couple of years. They were moist, flavorful, packed with meat, and beautifully put together.
Before writing my review, I noticed some lower-star reviews, but my experience today was completely different — truly wonderful from start to finish.
