He helped me figure out my vision for the day and perfect executed it. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and the colors fit the scheme perfectly. “I recently received the most exquisite flower delivery from Victor Hlavacek, Winnetka. Every detail was done to perfection. The flowers were gorgeous, the arrangement was beautiful from every angle and the vase was lovely. Even the packaging, including the colorful tissue paper was carefully done to not only look pretty, but to ensure the arrangement arrived in excellent condition. Today marks day six and we are still enjoying them!”

“I went shopping for money trees the other day in the Edgewater area of Chicago and all of the Asian stores said they will not be selling them until May. So I waited the next day and start searching for plant stores in Niles and found these two money trees to replace the big ones so they can be repotted. The lady helping me find them in the store was very nice and she had very nice plants there. This will be my regular plant store for now. Very convenient and the prices are very good as well. “Hidden neighborhood gem. Whenever we swing by for anything garden related (Christmas trees also), there's just good vibe... And it all starts from the top with Adam and Tony down to all their very friendly and knowledgeable associates. Good people, great products at a fair price. I have not gone back to big box stores for any greenery needs since discovering Adams & Sons (& Daughter - although we have not had the pleasure of meeting her yet). We will be back again.”

“Love Chalet. It’s pricy, but can often find plants I’m looking for that I can’t find elsewhere. They take good care of their plants and many of the staff are very knowledgeable, if you can manage to lasso one of them. They can be VERY busy at times (true of any good garden center). Wish they had a little more room to maneuver among the outdoor plants, but that all said, I’m grateful they have as much as they do for selection.”
“I have a friend who is a passionate gardener as myself, so when her special 'milestone' birthday came along, I wanted to send her something she could eventually plant in her yard rather than a floral bouquet. I chose a pink azalea. Though I live in the western suburbs, I wanted to find a florist in her Jefferson Park neighborhood. I chose Wall's Flower Shop on Higgins but the website was redirected to Donna's Garden Flower Shop near Pulaski & Peterson. I spoke to Avi on the phone and he was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. This floral shop was extremely conscientious about delivering this fragile plant in the midst of our cold January weather. They called my friend and made sure she was home to receive it. She was extremely excited and thrilled to receive her gorgeous plant full of pretty pink buds. I will definitely recommend Wall's Flower Shop/Donna's Garden Flower Shop to all my Chicago friends!”

“This update is based on my experience buying wood trim for a project: they have a great selection, and unlike my experience at Lowe's in Lincolnwood, their website is actually accurate and tells you which aisle/bin the item is in (see my Lowe's review for that cluster of a mess). I found what I needed, and they have a sawhorse set up so you can cut trim yourself -- I was surprised that they even had a miter box, as I thought that wasn't something they offered to avoid having people doing their full project cutting in the store. I needed to miter the pieces for my project, but I didn't know the exact measurements and had never used a miter box before, so I didn't want to embarrass myself trying to figure it out at 7am on Christmas Eve in the middle of a Home Depot. So instead I just cut the trim to the approximate sizes I needed with some wiggle room to measure it exactly later, and managed to figure out how to use a miter box at home after watching a Youtube tutorial. So, yay for that. Also after my adventures in elementary woodworking (lol), I needed wood filler/putty because the miter saw I was using was like 20 years old and not the most precise. Their website said they didn't carry the kind/stain shade I was looking for, but when I got there the day after Christmas, they did indeed have it. So, that was perfect. And now I have an awesome, handbuilt coffee table. About 5 years ago I also needed a random 1x4 (or maybe 1x6?) for a single shelf to fill the gap between my fridge and my wall, and one of their staff members used the power saw setup to cut that for me. That was also an easy peasy process. For my future random wood project needs, I'll definitely come here rather than Lowe's.”
“Business as usual, there welcoming, friendly and helpful. It ok when you coming to buy small stuff but it when you buying stove and dryer the big stuff that when you have problems they mounted the stove to close to window melt the blinds I was told fire it hazardous, call try to get the worker to remove it from being so close to they said no, now we buy a dryer from here the worker put sliver or duck tape on everything I don’t him to use clips he refuse then use that duck tapes on everything few day later all that mess came a loose call the store try get somebody help I got hang up the girl on the phone didn’t know nothing I had to go store buy a clip and paid a family hood the dryer up right. I paid for insurance not work out with Home Depot.”

“Our office is across the street and our warehouse is about 30 minutes away. I have seen the place but it never clicked that they do take waste materials. We had a mixed full load of topsoil, bricks, pallets, and some other wood stuff in which they took. They charged me a I would consider a fair amount for the load.It was a little confusing upon entering as I didn't know where the office was. I suggest they put a sign up saying Office so new people know where to go. Other than this it was a great place, they were very communicative and very accommodating.One person said it is a lot but everything in the city costs a lot. If I was to pay my driver to drive 4 hrs round trip to dump further away for a cheaper dump price I am still paying the difference in drive time and wear and tear on my trucks and trailers.So in all reality I feel the price they charged was fair given my overall thought of costs.”
