“The River Forest, IL DSW store is excellent! I give them a rating of 10+ … the store and staff are amazing. As usual, the person that helped me was friendly, eager to help & provided quality customer service this past weekend.My rating for DSW Corporation is not favorable. VIP rewards customers are repeatedly offered savings codes; but, DSW’s excessive restrictions omit >20-30 brands from savings code use. For this reason, friends of mine & myself ignore or unsubscribe from those savings mailers or email. This past weekend, I saw a nice savings offer on the site & tried again … nope, no savings & the restrictions have actually increased. This bait & switch marketing is a waste of customers’ time & the opposite of quality customer service.”

“Great little family owned shoe store, took my mom which has abnormal feet (size 10 W, not just any Wide will do ?) & they were so attentive, helpful & friendly. ✅ Example: they asked what kind of shoe is she looking for & what size, then they kept bringing shoes out to her, for her to try on! Then when she found one, it was actually a bit tight but they actually made it wider (just for her! ?) because it's leather & can be widen out. I didn't even know they could do that! At the end, she did ended up buying them, she has been looking for shoes for more than 6 years, I'm so glad that the 1st time coming here. We found what were looking for & it only took the right place to go to; find that the shoe fits.”

“My experience at Fleet Feet was great. I got great service. I bought some fine walking shoes that fit perfectly. The store is well located & pleasant. The person who attended me was helpful, interesting, knowledgable & upbeat. I also bought Fleet Feet socks. Super tight at ankle -no "give", no flexibility to them, like compression socks. Will return them. BUT buy more of the same walking shoes!”

“Small business. Customer service was great. They had the Uggs I was looking for that were sold out everywhere including the Uggs website. I called to see if they had them they did and put them on hold until the next day. This was about 2 weeks before Christmas. I will return to purchase again.”
“Peak Running in La Grange is a fantastic shoe/running store. I have had a positive experience each of the five times I have shopped in there. None more positive than over the past weekend, with sales associate/Megan.Megan personified what customer service is all about on both days (Saturday; Sunday) I entered Peak Running. On Saturday, she was a major help in exchanging a pair of shoes for a better pair of shoes (at least for I was looking for).The pair of shoes that was coming my way was not to arrive until Sunday. Megan promptly called me when they arrived, and in finishing off her all-world weekend performance, she waited 5-10 minutes past closing time to accede my request, as I was coming from far away. Hence, I was able to get my shoes on Sunday as opposed to Monday.Thanks again, Megan!”

They gave suggestions about the latest trends & helped us pick out the best shoes for my husband at such a reasonable price! As we were looking for shoes they also offered us water as a nice gesture. Its always great when a place’s customer service is outstanding!!”
“I ordered a scarf from here and had it shipped to me in CT. I accidentally selected curbside pickup when placing my order, but the woman on the phone was so nice about my mistake! The scarf actually came earlier than it was supposed to! It’s super cute and very vibrant. I’ll definitely be ordering again!”

“I was there couple of months ago to buy a vetra jacket that was on sale. Since I bought from this place before I send them an email to ask if they could put it on hold for me because I wasn’t in Chicago yet but no answer came. I send a second email, still no answer. When I finally made it to Chicago and came to the shop I said very kindly that I send emails and would’ve liked at least an answer instead of being ignored especially since I’m a returning customer. The person that was there was super defensive and snippy. Instead of apologizing he just started constantly snipping at me. I thought to myself fine I just drop it cuz I didn’t wanna get into a discussion but this guy just from now on wouldn’t stop being snippy and rude to me even while I paid the jacket I bought. Very frustrating experience!Edit: when the guys from independence heard of my experience they came forward and were very nice and accommodating. Therefore I changed my rating.”

“Oh, my dear, let me tell you about my recent experience at this store! I must say, over the years, I've noticed a decline in the quality of their clothes. But fret not, they still offer some delightful sales from time to time, and I simply adore their clothes. The service, oh my, the service was truly exceptional! Though I must admit, it became a tad overbearing with all the workers continuously asking if I was finding everything alright. Bless their hearts, they mean well. They even fetched me a fitting room and kindly inquired if I needed any different sizes while I was in there. However, I had a bit of a hiccup when it was time to check out. There was only one worker nearby, she seemed too occupied with her phone. Once she finally noticed me, instead of checking me out herself, she asked another worker to assist me. Poor dear, the young girl looked utterly exhausted, carrying a stack of clothes in her arms as made her way to the register. Nonetheless, she managed to check me out and even applied the deal I saw online, which turned out to be better than what was available in the store! Overall, my shopping experience was satisfactory, but I do hope they pay more attention to the service and the weary workers in the future. Nevertheless, if you catch them during one of those fabulous sales, it's worth a visit!”
