“Everything I have ordered from this company has been delivered in a timely manner. Whenever I have had problems with a tool, they have always repaired them at minimal charge. I would recommend Allen Staple.”

“Very nice staff who have helped me on numerous occasions since I bought my first home down the street about a year ago. I’ve had a number of projects where it’s my first time trying to fix or replace something and they’ve always patiently walked me through everything and answered my questions. They’re also very dog friendly and my dog knows when we’re getting close and starts walking faster so he can get all the attention from the staff he loves. Great neighborhood store and so glad I moved in near them. It’s great being able to walk 5 minutes and get everything you need for a home project.”
821 E Nerge Rd, Roselle IL 60172
“Always outstanding customer service and staff provide a great family type environment and helpful for your needs and satisfaction. Staff helpful and like you are visiting your aunt or uncle or cousins at the local store. Good selection of items and lots of unique stuff for overall gift giving. Nice location. Nice shopping experience. Thanks.”

“Love the ability to select individual nuts; bolts and screws and get exactly the number I need. Also - very friendly and helpful staff - always greet me when I arrive and will ask if I need help or where to find stuff”

“My Business has used Miller Ace for 29 years. They always have whatever we need for the maintenance and operation of our shop.Always helpful, always nice to see familiar faces like Leslie back in the day and Maria. Our “go to” hardware store.”

“Wasn’t a believer until I bought a 13 dollar belt sander years ago and hoped it would last me a project or two. I think I may have to donate it if I ever want to be in need of buying another one. The staff here is one of the best locations I’ve been too. I prefer it over Hanover park and Cary, the staff always makes sure your getting the best deal possible and is super friendly with answers. Probably the best place I’ve been to if you ever need a random tool to make that next project easier. Also they have a lot of tools that may normally only be available at a premium price point and the DIY’re the solution they provide is great. Their products and easy customer service make me reminisce about the good old days of well built, inexpensive tools, that carried a lifetime or long term warranty. I just bought an oscillating spindle/belt sander that is 99% the same guts as a Rigid for 4-5x the price. Never thought I’d own a luxury sanding item like that for the shop but I got that and a cart full of tools for less than the cost of one at the big orange store. Oh also people like to harp on the “imported quality” where do you think everyone else comes from? You’re paying for a brand, up until recently the Hercules lineup of tools actually had Samsung sourced battery cells being utilized. I don’t think most people at this stage of the game think Samsung doesn’t know what they are doing when it comes to electronics.”

“The manager, Rob, was super resourceful and was able to help me with everything I needed! All of the employees in the store were also super nice too. Anytime you walked by an employee they either offered to help or commented to have a great rest of the day. Nice to have a hardware store like this in the area.”
930 W Northwest Hwy, Arlington Heights IL 60004
“They are so knowledgeable and always help me to find the perfect hardware. I always bring either a cabinet door or a handle I removed to make sure I get the right size. If you can't find what you are looking for there you won't find it anywhere.”

“I have to say this is hands down the best best Landscaping Equipment Dealer I've ever delt with in the 23 years I've down Commercial and Residential Landscaping...Danny Anderson has helped us out multiple times after my Echo addiction has lead me down a road of no return now that I've bought $6000 in Trimmers, Blowers, Multi-Tool Head and Attachments, Pole Saws and more to come!! My only supplier now for all my equipment needs is Arlington Power Equipment via Danny Anderson...”

“One year new home owner. I’m also a single woman so house improvements can be very confusing. Employees at this location especially James the store manager are extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and extremely patient. Today was my second experience with needing random things for updates around the new condo. Both experiences have been above and beyond. Also learned a lot in both trips. Thank you for the education and amazing shopping experience all wrapped up in one. Please go see the Des Plaines Ace hardware crew. Don’t forget to download the Ace hardware app for all the coupons and offers.”

“I love going to Harbor Freight. Been shopping there for many years. Current status of my experiences...Went to go buy 2 things and they were out of both. I went ahead and ordered one and will wait to buy the other. However, every time I have been there, 3-4 times over the last 3-4 months, they have never had it in stock. I will continue to shop there regardless, as they do have nice prices.”
600 E Rand Rd, Mt Prospect IL 60056
“Today, i bought a new undercabinet lighting system for my kitchen from Norwest Electrical Supply.I was so impressed by the knowledge, professionalism, and courtesy displayed by Matt P. & Alex, along with the rest of their team. They answered all my questions and patiently went over all my options.By the time i left the store, i knew that i would be doing repeat business there.”
906 S Northwest Hwy, Barrington IL 60010
“I came into purchase some specialty small screws and the people that I talked to really didn't know what I was talking about. Fortunately Jim who I'm sure has been there a long time knew exactly what I needed and found them within minutes. If I owned this store I would ensure that I keep Jim on board because the rest of the crew is extremely inexperienced in hardware stores”

“Chris was a wonderful help with the pack rack that I purchased on this trip and for letting me know more information about the table saw and router table I will be purchasing soon. It was definitely well worth the trip.”

“Best hardware store around. I missed the free popcorn since covid. They have everything in a very knowledgeable staff that's very helpful. A little overpriced but I think you're paying for the service”

“Today, I visited Ace Hardware in order to obtain a key for my recently purchased used vehicle and a house key as my current one is on the verge of breaking. I would like to express my gratitude towards Lisa. Despite being ready to finish her shift for the day, she went above and beyond to assist me. She stayed back, ensuring that I had everything I required. Her exceptional help, patience, and dedication did not go unnoticed. I am thankful for this outstanding service and will definitely be returning to this store more frequently. Thank you, Lisa, for your exceptional effort.”

“Great service , great lumber, great trim. People that know their business. Who can ask for anything more. Okay , one more. Great prices on quality materials.”

“Excellent selection, fair prices, and friendly help every time I stop in. A great resource for anyone in the trades. Love supporting local vs big box and online retailers.”
745 S Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove IL 60089
“Had to duck in to buy a couple feet of wire for a light switch install. The store was staffed very lightly but the cashier was able to flag down the manager on duty. The manager tracked down the right wire, cut it to length, and peppered in some DIY knowledge along the way. Even though the wire only cost a couple bucks, he never rushed me. Glad to have this store in the area for quick trips. Staff are friendly and professional. Certainly beats the longer trip to the big box home improvement store.”
100 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich IL 60047
“I was sorry to see Casper's leave but happy so far with ACE. Friendly workers and generally have the items you need for your home projects. Always happy to shop at smaller, home. town styled businesses. Please give this hardware store a chance before H.D.”
825 S Waukegan Rd, Lake Forest IL 60045
“The staff at True Value in Lake Forest is very helpful and always willing to assist! Whether a light bulb for a microwave or a single screw of any kind, if they do not have it, they will order it. Though, they have a plentiful stock of most items I need.”
24 N Hickory Ave, Arlington Heights IL 60004
“Great place and tremendously helpful staff! My son had his Boy Scout Eagle Project and we stopped by to order some wood panels and get recommendations. We were very pleased with the quality of product and service. Will go back again!”

“I still use my Bosch 601 113 134 VS 935 (2 speed) Electronic drilland the 8-1/4" circular saw. I had Addison put a new switch on the saw some years ago. Got 3 of the 12Volt drills. Most tools within the last 3 years bought from Milwaukee have left me high and dry.”
509 Busse Rd, Elk Grove Village IL 60007
“We were in from out of town doing a big job and ran into some serious issues. The sales rep Dan absolutely saved our ass by going out of his way big time to help us. Anybody should be happy to have this guy as an employee. Thank you Dan”
670 S Rand Rd, Lake Zurich IL 60047
“Tom at the Lake Zurich Rental center really helped me out. I was planning on renting a sewer rodding machine because my shower was backing up. After listening to my issue tom suggested the issue was in my septic field. Turns out I took the cover off and the tank was totally full. Tom chose to help me solve my problem over the phone instead of just trying to rent me a piece of equipment. I will think of this rental department whenever I need another tool to rent. Thanks again TOM!”
825 E Dundee Rd, Palatine IL 60074
“Great service, helpful and knowledgeable people, competitive prices. A great “go to” when you need to get projects done. What you need is in stock and immediately available. The staff knows the projects in their department and will help when a project crosses over multiple departments. They also know the latest products available and can inform and demonstrate them. Way better than your father’s hardware store. The team at the Palatine store is outstanding.”
785 Oakwood Rd, Lake Zurich IL 60047
“I inadvertently ordered the wrong color, despite saving some money due to a free shipping coupon. I contacted Koffler and spoke with Heide, who offered for me to return the product and order the correct color. It was my error and there would be additional cost to return it, so I decided to keep what I ordered and maybe find a place to use that while waiting for another free shipping coupon. Heide felt bad that I ordered the wrong product the first time and posted a note to herself to let me know the next time there was a free shipping coupon. When that occurred, Heide reached out to me, not once, but twice so I was able to take advantage of the free shipping. Who does that? Heide and the others I spoke with at Koffler were very nice to speak with and I complimented Heide to her manager, Ron. Thank you again Koffler for your excellent customer service!”
