“I went here on a whim and made my first big purchases for my new condo. First time moving out isn’t easy but they made it easy! I had such a positive experience with the whole staff there - even the delivery guys! The first couch I purchased didnt fit through the entrance. The delivery guys tried their best but it was too big. Thankfully he called right away and told me they had 2 smaller ones to look at. I got my new couch the next day and it’s perfect. I can’t recommend My Family Furniture enough!”

“I've watched my fair share HGTV shows where the designer goes to some kooky place filled with trinkets and treasures of times gone by. This place is a bit like that but mixed with the early days of Etsy. "Designers" can rent an 8x8 or bigger "storefront" to showcase their unique designs. Mostly stuff reclaimed from decades gone by and redesigned with some kind of flair. There's generally a theme to the different storefronts: women's vintage clothing, funny and lovey-dovey sayings regarding dogs and cats, plastic and silk flowers, dairy and farm, sarcastic sayings, whiskey barrel designs for the men dragged into this place, etc.
My wife and I found a whimsical chip and dip bowl. It was nice and will replace one of the blander versions we have at home.
Truthfully, there were quite a bit of items that were perfect housewarming gifts and gifts for people who have specific decor tastes.
It's also a decent place to just kill some time browsing through all the stuff people have created to get your own creative juices flowing.”

“The crew at Hansen do high quality work. They built our cabinets 3 years ago and they are just as beautiful today. Yesterday we noticed a minor issue with one of the drawer slides. “Large inventory in stock, very convenient location in Gurnee Mill. I have used this store since 2022, when I remodeled a house in Lake County. It's beneficial to have different inventories for various price levels, ranging from high-end to average. The service is excellent, with staff taking the time to explain the details to customers patiently. Many high-quality materials are available at extremely low prices when supply is limited. Because in a residential home remodel, most materials are one-time use and have no requirements for repeat purchase. I opened a customer account with them, and purchasing or returning becomes very easy.”

“This place has a good selection, but it is really overwhelming and unorganized. We went on a Saturday but there were no carts anywhere to be found.
Also was hard to find a person that worked there to help, and while there is a larger selection at the combined store it was really congested. It just seemed like there was a lot of unorganization and disarray. Now this could be because we went on a Saturday, but Ive been to a lot of stand alone Home Goods and it didnt feel the same.”

“Very eclectic collection at this location. I came in for whiskey glasses and candles, and I was able to find it. Im sure whatever knickknacks or trinkets you need are here. The only reason I can't give a five-star is the lack of signage for the ailes. It is difficult to find what you need in here because of it.”
