βI like going to Salem Wisconsin citgo gas station, it's about 5 mi from the border of Illinois. There are no sales tax in Wisconsin. Gas is usually about a dollar cheaper as well. The workers that work at this citco are absolutely amazing.β

βThe hours are not very good for a truck stop but I'm not sure they claim to be one. The truck parking area has large holes in it but it's manageable. The store and the restrooms were clean. They have a restaurant inside. There is also a sitting area in the store if you want to grab a snack and chill. They make sandwiches with lots of options by hand when you order them. To order them you have to fill out their little paper and give it to them. The sandwich I was really good. The next time I'm by there I just might stop in again for a sandwich. Over all it was a nice place. Just keep in mind if you are in a truck, they are not open all nightβ

βMy hometown gas station. They have updated a lot to this place! They have a coffee machine now and Bakery items.. good alcohol selection. Very friendly staff too! The owners are very nice people too!β

βMy daily stop after work!! Though I've seen quite a bit of turnover in the staff at this location, they really have a shining star in Shelley!! She is super helpful, quick, and always greets folks with a smile and by name if she knows it! She learns her customers, so she is ready when you come in with your favorites!! Pretty sure I would stop going there if it weren't for her, as there are so many other options in gas stations, but her happy, upbeat attitude keeps me coming back!! Good job Shelley!!β

βLove this gas station!! Every time I come someone is outside cleaning, taking out the trash, or even working on the landscaping which is always really pretty. Trust me people notice the little things.
Inside is immaculate, even the bathrooms are spic and span, and items always organized and stocked.
Also they have random raffles and give little stuff to their customers which is really nice to get people's attention in the neighborhood.
Thank you for the great customer service to the employees that work on a daily to keep it clean and keep the business running. You're doing awesome!!β

βI went to the amoco gas station to get gas,my card wasn't working at the pump.The gentleman came and helped me use the card, but the card didn't work at the pump.Then the clerk opened a pump, After I filled it up, I went inside and paid the money and I blessed the gas station clerk because I have never seen a clerk come out and help us.anyway still i give to gas station for service 5 star for pump 1 star ,who is the owner he need to fix pump if he needs more business.β

βBest price for diesel in the area. I drive out of my way to fuel up here just so I'm not putting money into a thieves pocket for the convenience. I hate spending $120-130 to fill up once or twice a week, but this place is definitely cheaper than 14&176, 120&Chappell Hill, and Casey's.I'll delete this post if they jump on that bandwagon.Went here again today, and it's 20 cents cheaper a gallon.β
βNot impressed much by much, but here I was taken back, one of the nicest Gas Stops I have ever seen in a while, clean, with tons of options of things you might need. If you drive past without stopping in, it's your loss if you need something besides gas.β

βActually a very nice gas station. The pumps are fairly old with monochrome displays instead of color ones for the credit card reader. Itβs not a chip card reader- but thereβs no swipe either. Prepay is the only way, but it is possible to prepay with a credit card inside. The inside of the minimart is great- it has groceries, bait, a large fountain drink and food section and a whole desk devoted to the Illinois Lottery. Itβs a very nice place to spend time- especially with the view out the window to the nearby farmland. They pay $15-$18 an hour, I might look at applying for a summer job.β

βI came to the Meijer’s Gas Station in McHenry on Sunday, April 26, 2026 after a botched experience elsewhere. This was the only other gas station around that day that stood at less than $4/gallon. It was $3.93 a gallon to fill up. It was very quick and easy to do. It was after 9pm so I went and then out within 5 minutes and I was home within another 10. (Written 5-27-26)β
βSmall gas station here in WI with nice touch screens installed at the pumps! Not as close to the border and not invaded usually by folks from Illinois. Keep voting for clowns who want to raise your taxes Illinoisians... 2nd highest gas tax in the Nation, congrats!β

βSo glad to have this nearby. Growing up in Chicago this was one of my favorite places, now it's a 20 minute drive from the Wisconsin border. The woman who makes the subs, usually, is awesome. She will customize your sub for your which is usually a bit of a challenge at my go to Mr. Sub on Western Ave in Chicago. Get a king super sub with oil on half. You'll get 4 meals out of it.β
βIt was a very clean gas station the windshield wiper fluid was full the cleaners the squeegees or knew they had towels out of red paper towels all filled and ready to go it was a very clean storeβ

βIt is a pretty nice place with a adequate selection (they sure do like their energy drinks), pretty basic overall though (no wash, vacuums, fountain). The station was very clean and nice looking though. Has early closing hours where it is never open past 7pm, so keep that in mind.β
