“Actually a very nice gas station. The pumps are fairly old with monochrome displays instead of color ones for the credit card reader. It’s not a chip card reader- but there’s no swipe either. Prepay is the only way, but it is possible to prepay with a credit card inside. The inside of the minimart is great- it has groceries, bait, a large fountain drink and food section and a whole desk devoted to the Illinois Lottery. It’s a very nice place to spend time- especially with the view out the window to the nearby farmland. They pay $15-$18 an hour, I might look at applying for a summer job.”

“So glad to have this nearby. Growing up in Chicago this was one of my favorite places, now it's a 20 minute drive from the Wisconsin border. The woman who makes the subs, usually, is awesome. She will customize your sub for your which is usually a bit of a challenge at my go to Mr. Sub on Western Ave in Chicago. Get a king super sub with oil on half. You'll get 4 meals out of it.”

“very helpful staff. My car broke down at 6pm on a weekday, and directed me to a mechanic right around the corner. He was closed, but diagnosed my problem and had me back on the road in 45 minutes. He didn't even want to charge me, but I gave him all the cash I had on me which was about $45.00”

“This location has 22 cents discounts on NASCAR race days via the App. It is an extremely clean location. In fact, it's the cleanest location I've ever seen in my 34 Years of driving.
There was an extremely well dressed lady and gentleman cleaning pump and sweeping outside. This is a top rated location for detergent fuel.
Again Immaculately clean. Plenty of space to maneuver around your car and other pumps. The windshield washer bins were full and clean, as well as the towels refilled.
If your going to spend top dollar on gas, this would be the location that make you feel good about getting every penny worth.
Definitely, looking forward to returning to this location, especially on race days.

“Getting gas was easy. I didn't buy anything inside. I've been here twice, both times the bathroom didn't have TP. I'd change my rating to 5-stars if I saw the bathroom was better maintained. Gentlemen meaning the store were kind and helpful.”

“On march 13th at 10:10 pm a young girl came into work and I had to hear the worker who was already working make terrible comments about this other girl…very unprofessional u should never put down another worker..I finally asked the new shift girls name before I left and told her what her coworker said…her name is hailey…best worker ever she smiled the whole time I was there and conducted herself so professional..get rid of the other girl look at dates and u will see who the other girl is …”

“This is my favorite Thornton's location. The lines always move quickly, and staff are consistently friendly and helpful. On one visit, I had a case of water, a case of drinks, and a few other items—one of the cashiers even offered to help me carry everything to my car. You don’t come across that level of customer service very often these days.”

“I went to the amoco gas station to get gas,my card wasn't working at the pump.The gentleman came and helped me use the card, but the card didn't work at the pump.Then the clerk opened a pump, After I filled it up, I went inside and paid the money and I blessed the gas station clerk because I have never seen a clerk come out and help us.anyway still i give to gas station for service 5 star for pump 1 star ,who is the owner he need to fix pump if he needs more business.”
