βThis shell has been really sometimey lately, ever since they opened up the mini-mart side it's hit or miss on the pumps working. Other than that, they're cool.β

Iβve been servicing cars for 35 years mostly at dealerships and in all honesty the service that Manny provides is better than any Iβve been.

βI originally tried Mayday out because because it's a couple blocks from my work, but twice now I was stuck and had to have it dropped off there with no notice. They've been able to absorb it into their workflow, figure out the issue and turn it around so fast. This last time, they fixed my problem, and did 2 other services I knew I needed and still got it back to me in 24 hours.
Very honest people. Never tried to sell me a service I didn't need (talked me out of one I thought I wanted and didn't need) and the prices aren't buried under a dozen upcharges and mystery fees.
On my 2nd car with them now, and so long as I can get my car there, Mayday will be the only place I want working on it.β
βGood location, good prices. Most of the gas stations I passed at the time were running around $3.30 to $3.39 and this station was $3.08 nothing much else to tell.β
βGreat store went in first time today. Had to use washroom after a 2.5 hr drive. Its got a little of everything for everyone there. I ended buying things I shouldn't but that my own fault lol.

βMy young son and I were driving to the Shedd Aquarium from Waukesha, WI when my check oil light came on. I will admit that I am completely ignorant when it comes to just about anything with cars, so I had no idea what kind of damage I could be doing to the car to continue driving, and I was a good 2 hours from home. I happened to find Kris Touhy Auto because I searched for a BP gas station close to me along my route -- and sure enough attached to the BP was this auto shop. I was shaken, I was embarrassed, I was rushed -- and the two men in the shop (an older gentleman and a younger man) immediately stopped what they were doing and both came out to check my oil level and fill it up -- for like pennies! They even showed my son (and me) how to do it. I can't say enough good things about these men and this shop. It seems like a simple, easy thing for most, but they saved the day for me, and it had a huge impact on my day. If I lived closer, you'd be my go-to! Thanks, gentlemen.β
βWe had a horrible night when a tub of white paint fell off a truck into the street and hit our car. 1/2 the car was covered in paint. We frantically drove here hopping to clean the car. They were closed but when seeing our car they quickly brought us back and 5-6 young men working her got almost all of the white paint cleaned off my car before it was too late. You guys are the best!!! Thank you againβ
βHUGE gas station with 15+ pumps. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to pump gas at this location. Also, price is ALWAYS lower than any other station in my area.β

βI live in Chicago and work in Des Plaines. And this gas station has the cheapest gas anywhere that I've been to. And they also have everything you need in their convenience store including Subway. Highly recommend it.β
βI like the efficiency in accessing the pumps at this location. The only issue I have is getting the scanners to accept the barcode in the Costco application. It slows me down big time because I end up having to use the physical card. Perhaps the sensors need to be cleaned off frequently.β

βI absolutely love Whole Foods! Thereβs a great variety of fresh and/or organic vegetables and fruit to choose from. Whole Foods is the best store to buy fresh caught fish, grass fed and finished meat.β

βExcellent service! I mean, the manager oversaw the whole oil change, inspection, and he even brought over the air filter to show me it was OK now but to change it next time. The level of service is a first. I love the job they did. They won my trust!β
βTypically a lot of cars regardless of the time. I went early around 8am on a Wednesday. One car was idle for a while at the pump and did not get gas for at LEAST 5 minutes. This would be fine but there was another pump that was broken and this car was just sitting there. The attendant did not say anything and it was just a little annoying but it's okay, I got my gasβ

βI have been a customer of Power King for over 20 years. They have done a great job of taking care of all the cars in our family. Sargon, the owner, has also sold us three cars that he fixed up. He's a wonderful mechanic and very honest.β
βA smaller gas station than some of the others along 41, they're still one of the better stations. The pumps here are FAST - I can fill up my tank faster than most of the other stations. Prices are fair, for a station right on the expressway, and you can save if you get a car wash after filling up. Their automated car wash system - A Ryko SoftGloss MAXX 5 brush friction wash system - is available 24 hours, and does a really good job for such low prices. They have a coin-op vacuum cleaner and air pump around behind the mini-market. The mini-mart is definitely miniature, but still well stocked given the limited area. The staff are all really friendly, too. This gas station is connected, by a small road in the back, to the Taco Bell and Wendy's - making it a nice late night destination to refuel your vehicle and your belly.β
βI drive all over Cook county for work. When I'm in Park ridge/Eddison/South Park I always get gas here. Everyone is really personable. Especially the fair headed cashier. He always looks me in the eye and says thank you. That might not matter to everyone but it brightens my day a little.β

The only downside is that scheduling can be a bit tight during busy times, so appointments may require some planning ahead. Still, the quality of service and professionalism make it well worth it. Overall, First Wheel is a solid choice for repairs and maintenance in the neighborhood β Iβd gladly return.β

Theyβre genuinely honestβwhen they ask what type of oil you want or prefer, thereβs no upselling or pressure. You can trust them completely. On top of that, their prices are very fair. Itβs hard to find a shop this reliable anymore, and Lightning Lube has earned my loyalty year after year.β
