El Charro
113 E Pike St, CrawfordsvilleWe had three adults and 10 kids. It took less than five minutes to put tables together and seat us. We went at lunch and although they were busy they didn’t seem put out by our large group.
The kid menu made it easy for each kid to get their own meal. It didn’t seem expensive for the size of the portion. We did have a few leftovers but it fed them twice.
The adult portions are big and filling. The food was made to order. None of it was reheated or cold. The tamales 🫔 are filling and have meat and not filled with masa (dough).
Our waiter was great for the size of our group. Some had Horchata and it’s really good. The right amount of cinnamon. The large cup is the better deal. No refills!
Others had soda which they have in different flavors. Being diabetic I had water. Those of us with refills were never empty.
The staff is bilingual and easy going. The music isn’t so loud that you can’t hear yourself holding a conversation.
The decoration is that of a Mexican restaurant in Mexico or a big city. Makes it fun to look around.
If you’re in Crawfordsville, Indiana looking for a Mexican restaurant I recommend El Charro. Our experience was great 👍🏼

1104 Big 4 Arch Rd, CrawfordsvilleVery Friendly and helpful Definitely appreciate them caring for my Aunts Pomeranian. I highly recommend getting your pet chipped. It will definitely detour others trying to claim them. He's not from here but thankful for the person who turned him in. When I posted his picture I was recommend to our Local Animal welfare league. They had just fed him breakfast. He was kept safe and that matters. So many sweet babies need a forever home. I adopted mine yrs ago Rescue babies are the best!! Please adopt don't shop. So many need a good family to call their own. We are extremely Thankful that he wasn't hurt nor injured. He's just an old man trapped in a pup sized body.
