“I was stranded with a broken-down vehicle and ended up staying at this hotel. The gentleman who checked us in during the evening seemed like he hated life and had a very poor attitude, which made for a disappointing first impression.

Fortunately, the experience improved significantly the next day. While I was trying to get my vehicle repaired, the staff allowed us to keep our room longer and extended our checkout time, which was incredibly helpful during a stressful situation. The people working the morning of June 1 were amazing—friendly, accommodating, and genuinely caring.

Their excellent customer service almost earned a five-star review on its own. Unfortunately, the negative attitude of the gentleman working the evening before brought the overall experience down to four stars.”

“Excellent customer service! Breakfast is much better than average! Breakfast staff members are friendly and helpful.

My room was very clean and comfortable.

The breakfast attendant, Doretha (“Miss D”) is amazing. I look forward to her smiling face and delicious breakfast every time I stay here.

I travel for work and stay in Staybridge Suites in several states. But Miss D’s breakfast is the best out of all the locations.

All the employees are great, the housekeeping staff, the front desk staff, and also the maintenance man.

I always stay at this hotel when I am working in this area.”

“I was here for work for a week and the staff was amazing and friendly. Especially andre and didi. They both were great and helped me when I lost my key and when my door got stuck they didn't get irritated like alot of other people do. They went above and beyond.”

“The Hampton Inn and Suites in Schererville was a lovely experience. My husband and I were traveling with our daughter and her two young boys. The pool was a big hit. The rooms were immaculate, and beds were very comfortable. Erica was manning the front desk during our two-day stay, and she was an absolute delight. We needed extra towels & washcloths, and she took care of our need immediately. Erica was personable and welcoming to every person we saw enter the hotel, engaging travelers in conversation and seeming genuinely committed that everyone enjoy their stay. She personified hospitality, and made a really nice hotel stay memorable.”

“Showed up and Jackie was the kindest Front desk agent I have ever met. She was warm and welcoming. I’ve stayed here so many times and she was by far the most helpful and kind agent, and I have had multiple great experiences prior. Bre, was also super kind and welcoming.”

“We were traveling during the holidays. Our car broke down and we were stranded with a large family. We were able to book 2 rooms with ease late in the evening. In the morning our car was towed to the shop on Christmas Eve and we weren't sure if the car was going to be fixed before they were closed for the holiday. I spoke to the kind people at the hotel and let them know what was going on and they helped make space so my little ones could burn off some energy, and was so kind and understanding and did everything they could to be accommodating. In a bad situation and in a time of need, their kindness was beyond appreciated. Thank you.”

“Nice little hotel, friendly staff, very clean, conveniently located near the highway.
Not much of any kinds of views but that isn't the hotel's fault, just not much to look at around Gary.”

“I have stayed in hundreds of hotels whether for business or personal solo travel and this one was definitely a favorite of mine. All staff there are very kind, efficient, and dedicated to excellent customer service- Stephen, Anne, Mary, and manager Pritesh. They do have an award for best guest service for a reason:)
There are many things that made the room special, which were very high attention to detail- the kitchen with everything you need for cooking makes you feel
right at home, dishwasher tablets, a cute summer pitcher, a nice board above the desk to post/hang things, a side table to eat while watching tv, purell wipes near the remote- just nice finishing touches to make it special. The bed was very comfortable and had great pillows. They had free Costa coffee, free laundry, and a snack room fully stocked with again- thoughtful things people would need for travel and great variety of options.
The staff were always cleaning when I was there and housekeeping did a great job.
If you are planning to stay in Merriville, I recommend this be your hotel choice. I know there are about 10 other options in the same area, but this one is by far the best!
Thank you for a great stay and thank you for your hardwork- it is appreciated and recognised by a traveler like myself who pays attention to everything!:) 5 stars ⭐️”

“We had a large group stay at this hotel for a local event and the hotel was very accommodating for us. Staff was friendly and generally helped us out with anything we needed. They also rented us a room for our group to gather at a very reasonable rate.”

“Great place if you're working in the area. (Per Diem Peeps). This is an older property, but management has done a good job on cleanliness & upkeep. The staff is very courteous & quick to respond to any request. My room was clean & housekeeping was top notch. Plenty of hot water & close to everything. My only issue was some sporadic internet issues. But if you're looking for a reasonable clean room, I would recommend this BW. I will definitely stay here again.”

“Very nice place. Budget friendly. Quite attractive affordable hotel. Atmosphere is great. They even allow you to inspect your room prior to paying, but you first must call and ask them if you can view your room first and come there in person to the front desk. They will walk you to your room to check things out before you pay one single red cent. Once you are satisfied with your potential room, then and only then will you have to pay for the number of days and nights stay that you and your loved ones want to occupy the facility and rest your dear sweet head. And the sleep here is sweet. It like nothing else. It’s like heaven the air conditioning is cool to cold. Just nice like the way you want it at your own home. Just adjust the temperature. You have a small baby fridge to buy food and storage for a little while. Nice tiny microwave will do you just right. It’s like living off the rod in style with some convenience of electricity. Warm up some popcorn and watch a movie or have breakfast or dinner and a movie with the one you love. I mean real nice. Comfort of home away from home. You may not even want to leave. And book a few extra days here. This is my recommendation. I felt like Ms. Tell, she answered the phone with total kindness. I told here of was I was dealing with and you know what she said to me. Just on over here check in time is 3 pm and I even give you a discount. I felt like her I took me. When we arrived she was the one at the glass section. Very protected place. I mean double and triple heavy duty glass protected. I introduced myself and she said. I will be right with you. She came back with a hand full of linen and the room key for us to inspect the facility first. She then walked us over to the second building. I ask do you need some help. She was so gracious and kind. Oh by the way she was expecting a baby. I asked her how far long are you. She said, “seven moth.” We said that a tiny belly you have. I said she walk everywhere. Up and down the stairs she is fit and that a healthy baby she’s carrying. Anyway, side bar. Back to the room investigate. The saga continued. She opened the door. I sent up a prayer. Oh Heavenly Father, “ please let this room pass the Private Eyes Investigation. Please let it be clear so I can get some good rest. We went in. It was nice. Real nice. Bright orange bedspread. Carpet was swept nice and clean. Bathroom smell and looked good. Sink was there too. The furniture well polished and dusted. We ran a white glove over everything. We look under the bedspread. What, “clean white linen and fluffy pillows.” Awesome. A little touch of class. I mean. It was the Waldorf Austria or the Hilton, The Rita Carlton. No not at that level of experience and expense. Just simple and clean and nice. Two clean double beds. Well I am going stop here and pay the rent. And finally get some desired rest. Speak to you next time. As the next episode will reveal to you what really going on in the community. Here to your success. See you real soon. Hit me up. Comment below. Tell me what your experience is at the Knight Inn and Suites in Merriville, Indiana, USA. Stay tuned. Same station. Same time in your own time zone. Beam me up. Let’s do this. Go there. Check it out. Follow the about recipe and tell it. We want to know.”

“Stayed here for a night and overall it was a decent experience. The hotel was very clean, which was definitely a big plus. The staff was friendly, and Preetm at the front desk was helpful and proactive throughout the stay.

The only area that could really use improvement is the breakfast, as it wasn’t very enjoyable. Other than that, it was a good stay overall.”

“If you're budget-conscious after battling road construction on Interstate 55 and 80, this is worth a stop. Sure, as some people states, there are imperfections (what place doesn't?) What was important is that the rate is affordable, the showers are hot, I was able to order food without leaving my room, and I have a bed to sleep on. Kudos to the clerk who helped me, as he appeared exhausted after a long day of work. This was my stop after my interactions with frustrating road construction while trying to get to the Libertarian National Convention in Grand Rapids.”

“I must say out of all the places I have been over the last while , coming here makes you feel at home.
Feom JC at the front desk to the friendly staff who i belive went above and beyond to welcome myself and my children.
Just a super friendly place to be.
Its quiet and clean !
I would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a safe place to lay their head at night.”

“Check in was easy, room was clean and decor simple, price was cheap but the neighborhood was more industrial type area so not a lot of people around besides other guests, I felt safe smoking outside, ordered GrubHub without any issues of them finding me. I would stay here again for sure. No complaints really.”

“I last stayed here in January, and this time it seems they have done some upgrades. The rooms were even cleaner than before, and the breakfast has definitely improved with more choices available. The staff was friendly and the motel was very quiet. I will surely come back again.”
