βThey have crushed chewy ice. That alone gets 5 stars. It's so hard to find. I used to have to drive to 52nd and Keystone for this ice. Super clean. Employees are so nice. On my downfall is that they aren't open 24 hrs. But now days who is? Lolβ
βThis place was recommended to me by a coworker from the Ukraine. If you can't read Russian, ask for help, as very few things are labeled in English. The place is very clean, organized, and has items hard to source. They even have pre-made items like peroxide and cabbage rolls that take a lot of time to make. I'll definitely be back even though it's on the opposite side of town!β
βThey're like family! Always revamping the store, and making improvements! Don't forget the extensive inventory; you're bound to find what you're looking for a MORE! Best wine selection too!β
βThis gas station is truly a gem in the community. Itβs not just a place to fill up your tankβitβs a spot where youβre genuinely looked after. The staff here go above and beyond, always greeting you with a smile and treating everyone like family. You can tell they care about their customers, not just as customers, but as people. The station is always clean, well-stocked, and safe, and they consistently look out for the needs of the neighborhood. Itβs rare to find a business that combines excellent service with such a personal touch, but this place does it effortlessly. Theyβve earned my loyalty and my gratitude.β

βBest little quick stop in town. When I stop here I can get something for myself, my kids, and my dad. A ice cold poo, delicious ice cream, and a sativa preroll for the grumpy grandpa ? The sweet guy that works most nights is the best. No matter how busy they are he always stays calm and gets everyone out of there as quick as possible! I appreciate that having 2 little girls in tow on my own most days. Always a pleasure to stop in.β

βSo nice to have a gift card. Fuel only keeps gas budget handy for the long commute to the government center. Compliance with 'Return to Office' & rising gas prices. Pump area needs stocking and pressure wash.β
βIf you love Spanish inspired dishes and want to add authentic flavors then look no further. And, with an on-site butcher, it makes it a one stop shop. Say hello to your dishes having an authentic taste! Great selections, friendly service and stocked shelves! You can even grab a treat of fresh tamales to go if you need a snack.I was able to find the peppers and cheese I needed to make Birria Quesa tacos.β
βI love this gas station. It's well stocked and clean. The owners are cool and their prices are reasonable. They have a good selection of vapes, both nic and hemp. They also have box mods and glass. I have never eaten at the restaurants but I'm sure they are good. I have also had better than average luck on lottery here.β

βWell, I went to put air in my tire, and I had my great grandson with me. We went to the register to pay for some chips and get quarters for the air, and the man behind me in line insisted on paying for the chips and my $2. In quarters because he said my granddon was so cute (he's 2), I said that he didn't need to, but he insisted, so I let him pay. The place was clean. The employees were friendly, well everyone was friendly so all in all I had a great experience there.β

βThe only down side to this location is the lack of drive thru but I gladly go in because one, it's Target lol and two, because of the service. Patrick is the nicest person. He has neighborhood dad vibes and I want him to adopt me- he just is always so nice and helpful. My kids are always with me and I never feel bad when they're being a lot because the pharmacist is just so nice and patient.β

βCitgo is practically the definition of a neighborhood food/gas mart. If you've been paying attention over the last few years, you've likely seen a resurgence of Citgo locations in Indianapolis. This is especially true in urban locations. I'm somewhat surprised I've never reviewed this location, though I'll openly admit I don't go to it particularly often despite the fact that it's the nearest gas station and convenience store to my home. When I initially moved into my neighborhood about 12 years ago, this was a mostly empty corner with a small strip center at the corner of 42nd & Emerson that included (and still includes) a day care center, a hair stylist, and a couple other small businesses. After a while, a convenience store opened. Eventually, it would add gas pumps and become Citgo. There's no question I live in sort of a transitional neighborhood. I wouldn't exactly call it a rough area, but it's close to a rough area. It's a unique neighborhood that goes from lower middle-class working (my street) to comfortably middle-class and mostly older families the closer you get to 46th & Emerson. However, if you go south a couple of blocks you have multiple vacant apartment complexes and challenges with crime at 38th & Emerson. It's a neighborhood that was hit heard by the 2008 economic downtown. It's also the kind of neighborhood where Citgo tends to go. This Citgo offers gas, food items, fresh items, beverages, ice, propane, and most things you can find at a convenience store. There's an ATM inside. It's open 24/7 and is fairly well lit. Access isn't ideal - there's a ramp toward the end of one end of the sidewalk that works, but can occasionally be blocked. The employees here are generally friendly. While it's open 24/7, I have to be honest and say even though it's within wheeling distance of my home there's almost no chance I'd come here in the middle of the night. However, I will note that this particular location doesn't tend to have a lot of problems. Because it's adjacent to a strip center, across from a school, and down the street from a church, it seems to mostly attract true neighborhood folks and/or people simply stopping for gas. This location is officially known as "Yankee Food Mart," which I find a little unusual but no one calls it that and it's not on any signage. Citgo offers an app, a fuel rewards program, and they are a very charitable company. They've donated over $250 million to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. While Citgo has primarily been known in recent years for its connection to Venezuela, it started out in the early 20th century as a company started by Henry Doherty known as the Cities Service Company. In fact, Doherty joined with Josef Pulitzer to add nighttime lighting to Lady Liberty and was crucial in the early days of public utilities. The company actually has a really fascinating history. This Citgo is a place I'll occasionally go for beverages or a simple need where I don't want to get in the car. While it's within wheeling distance of my home, the sidewalk is a little rough and I have to be kind of careful. That said, there's a ramp and the aisles are workable in a wheelchair. I've only purchased gas here once, however, the pumps are fairly well situated and I can easily maneuver my wheelchair. They also offer a coin-operated air pump. This certainly isn't a destination spot on Indy's eastside. It's a neighborhood gas station available 24/7 with a food mart included. It's generally quiet, well lit, pricing is consistent with convenience stores, and they've been a good neighbor for me. Other than an occasional person walking through a narrow path behind their building that's semi-adjacent to my yard, I've had no concerns. The Citgo website indicates they're locally owned and operated.β
βI grew up in that neighborhood & Nate was so good to me and my family during very hard times. I will be in to see you soon. Itβs been so many years!Vikki & Zach (the twins)We love youuu!β

βThe guy I spoke to on the phone here was great... only thing I wanted to let ppl know is that they show open 24 hrs, but they actually CLOSE FROM 11PM-5AM!! NOT A 24HR STORE!! Other than that, great, helpful staff & very friendly!! (So his boss knows who he is, LoL, I spoke to him on the phone 1/20 about 11:15pm?)β
βElizabeth (Liz) is the main reason I come to this location. She always makes me feel welcome and answers any questions I ever have with a smile on her face. I love her positive energy and every time I visit when sheβs there, she always makes an effort to say hello to me. I will continue to recommend this fuel center thanks to her great service. She deserves a BIG pay raise for how awesome she is to me and all of the customers. I cannot brag on her enough and very much enjoy her kindness ?β
βWasn't planning on leaving a review , but giving one now because the gentleman who works the afternoon shift was very accommodating when I stopped by to use the bathroom . They were out of toilet paper ,, but instead of just telling me they don't have any...he ran to the other Speedway located across the street to get some toilet paper from them . That particular employee went above and beyond to assist and he deserves a raise for that .β
βIt's okay is a gas station and you know that.... but the employees are nice and polite and respectful and the the store is clean and neat and they also sell chicken and potatoes weges... I rarely get food from a gas station but it's good sometimes..... rotate sanck more often cause some of them are not fresh and some are....β
βClean store, friendly employees and patrons stood out on my stop for coffee. While I rarely require java in the morning, it was nice to know there are so many options to feed the craving. Whether you like iced coffee, Lattes, cappuccino or regular roast, they've got you covered with an array of flavored creamers and syrup. I chose a Blueberry Crumble flavored premium coffee and a banana for breakfast, but must admit, those donuts were quite tempting!β
