“Hirschs is like stepping back in time. Friendly staff. In house butcher with custom cuts and best chicken salad. Quality place with small town feel. Not walmart. Prices higher but quality is better and staff is treated fairly.”

“I visited the store on Monday, May 25. While in the checkout line, the older gentleman in front of me was having difficulty with his debit card. Without hesitation the cashier, Alec, came around to help the gentleman. Alec was very polite and helpfuI. I complimented Alec on how nice it was to see how he helped the gentleman. Alec was just as friendly when checking me out as well. It was refreshing to see excellent customer service in action. Great job, Alec!”
“Very well stocked tonight. I really like having the fresh fruit and vegetable options plus some other items in the case. The added convenience of having DG close to home is an extra plus.”

“Honestly a life saver for most people who live in Patoka, me and my family often found ourselves missing a single ingredient for dinner and not wanting to go all the way to town to get it but with dollar general here, we haven't had to do that in around a year.”
“Nice new building with spacious aisles. It's easy to find what you in the store. You have to watch the prices on some items though. Certain items can be found cheaper at other stores. If I have to go to Dollar General, I prefer the third street location over the ninth street location.”
“All small towns are starting to get a Dollar General. This is great as it has several basics if you find yourself in a pinch. Some groceries, some over the counter medicines, clothing and household items. Thankful for our little Dollar General in Mt. Carmel!”

“Decent little gas station with the familiarity of a Walmart. They are staffed by the Walmart they are by and have the same shelving and price labels so it is easy to feel right at home if you are a Walmart shopper. There is the standard grabs on the shelves but also a walkin part to the cooler where you can get 2 liters and 12 packs/cases of cold soda! There are also bathrooms INSIDE that are maintained and cleaned.”

“I work here on nights stocking. I am not making this review just bc I work there. It is the cleanest dollar store I have ever been in. They have tons of items. There are not carts blocking so many iles u cant shop like some of them. We try our best to keep it clean and organized. If we are out of something, its bc it was not delivered. No one in the store orders items. Corporate orders stuff based on what we sell. I can tell u, I stock things on weds and by Friday its almsot gone. Crazy how busy we are. I live in Fort Branch and I am so thankful we sell groceries. I dont have to drive all the way to princeton or haubstaut to get bread. Please if u have had a bad experience in the past. Please give us another shot. The past 3 months we have done so much and we try our best to make our customers happy. If u come in, please fill out the survey on ur receipt. Tells how ur experience went... we love to hear how we are doing and hopefully we meet ur expectations as best as we can. Just please understand it's hard to find people to work right now. It's hard to fill shelves and wait on customers. We want to make sure u are not waiting to long to be check out. We are trying hard to make sure shelves are stocked up as best we can. “The store seemed like it was going through a clean up of some sort so there was stuff strewn everywhere. The alarm was going off for about 10 minutes. The cashier was helpful and ring up my items hastily. Overall, not too bad of an experience. Wasn't that great either, but I didnt expect a massage or anything while walkin' out.”

“This Dollar General is well kept and really clean. I haven’t had any issues with the staff. Things are a lot more expensive now. Anyways, it’s a good dollar general and I go there at least once a week!”
