Max Purcell (located at the one in Ames) is super understanding, very respectful and responsive, he answered all my questions when it came time to apply for a loan. He walked me through the process and every time i needed it re-explained, he was very understanding, patient, and friendly to work with!!”
“New customer, moving from Wells Fargo. Customer service was great for setting up accounts. Online and in person customer service was better than expected. Savings interest rate is around 3.5% compared to .01%! Bank now requires an appointment to see a banker, required for some transactions. I did have some trouble setting up on line banking, but customer service was very helpful. Bill pay set up was straight forward. Over all satisfactory service.”

Although the staff turnover at the Somerset branch is higher than what I was used to in the past, I still get good service when I visit it. However, it was nice to be recognized by staff I knew by name. If you are looking for a checking and savings account with no fee and all the basic services you need from a bank, GICU is an excellent choice.”
