“I went to Halberstadt’s for my first suit years ago and i’ve had a great experience every time I walk into this store. From business casual to full on suits, Clayton and his crew always get me taken care of. There’s been times where I needed a quick turn around on tailoring and they always make it happen. Not to mention their prices are competitive with places in the area. Whether it’s your first time buying a suit or you wear a suit everyday of the week, this is the place to go. The customer service here is outstanding and that’s hard to find nowadays.”

“As I was walking through Merle Hay Mall Kulture Kings footwear and apparel, caught my eye. I wanted to go in and catch the atmosphere. Urban modern vibe ?? this is definitely a place that I want to come into to get my other half anniversary and birthday gifts that I know that he would love?”
“As a person using a mobility device, aka a rolling walker, I struggle going into stores that have lots of little items. This store’s aisles and places to walk through were immaculate snd easy to navigate. A lot of times, I skip shopping in similar stores, because my mobility device is a hinderance, and I can’t safely shop the store. When I was there on April 4th, 2025, I was able to safely shop and look with no issues or assistance needed, which rarely happens. The people working were extremely helpful and kind. I hope this continues and spreads to other places. This store is proof that ADA compliance is possible, and fun items are for everyone!”

“Let me just start with saying CJ has been MORE than helpful every single time we come to this location. I have never had someone so respectful, mindful, helpful & caring in retail whether it is 4 hours or 4 minutes to close.
In no way have I ever had someone go so out of their way to find different sizes for my hot topic loving 9 year old. He deserves a raise & all of the recognition in the world - if he has not yet been named employee of the year he very much should be!!

While one employee told me the item was in “storage.”Jackie, the store manager, went above and beyond looking through several boxes to locate the item I was looking to purchase. She didn’t have to do that on a busy Friday evening, but she did! It’s the little things that matter. She was very personable and has the customer- first mindset. “This is a good store for being smaller than other Old Navy locations nearby and the staff here are always friendly and helpful. However, they had the gates closed at 7:30 p.m. on 8/3/24 and the store hours are until 8 p.m. I wasn’t even going to shop, I just had to do a return so it was disappointing that they had closed early.”

“J Crew recently rolled out a new credit card which I applied for the first day it was available at a store in Kansa City. There were all sorts of issues and the card was not able to be used that day. I was able to go to our local store in West Des Moines and get everything transferred from another card to the new J Crew card thanks to the help of Karlie. Very impressed with the customer service!!”
