Pet Care

Coralville Animal Hospital
1302 5th St, CoralvilleMoving here from out of state, finding the right vet was really important to me. A lot of locals born and raised in the area recommended this place, and I’m so glad I listened — they’re conveniently located, easy to find, and truly awesome.
I’ve seen mostly positive reviews and just a couple that weren’t great. Honestly, don’t let those sway you!! (If you read closer, it’s usually because someone couldn’t be seen the same day — but the team actually goes above and beyond by giving a list of other clinics that could do immediate asap on the spots appointments)
They’re doing their absolute best to help, and that says a lot. They answered my questions gave me itemized price lists, answered all sorts of random questions pertinent to my pets well being with ease, love and respect!
My own experience (and the locals who referred me) has been phenomenal. The staff, vets, and technicians are all awesome — so caring, professional, and efficient. They’ve been wonderful with my dog, from routine checkups to getting us in quickly when he had an unexpected infection (literally same day on the spot emergency, and even if they wouldn’t have been able to meet that immediate unexpected demand they’d still have given me lists of places that could which I truly respect and appreciate!)
Couldn’t recommend them more — so grateful to have found such a great vet after moving here!
Definitely go here!

Vesta
849 Quarry Rd Ste 100, CoralvilleWe visit Coralville a handful times a year for Iowa football games and visit our son. We had never gone to this restaurant until recently (11/7/25). We are sad that it took us so long to visit this restaurant as we really enjoyed all the food we ordered. The only drawback was the food and drinks ($7.25 for draft beer) were a bit pricey. I have no issue paying a big higher for good food but draft beer in this area for over $7 is a bit high in my opinion.
Either way we will be back for their food. The Philly cheesesteak and sweet potato fries were the best combo I ever had. Of course I have never had one in Philly but for the midwest...best one I ever ordered. Sweet potato fries...I always order at other restaurants and these were the best. My wife enjoyed her wood fire pizza. The Jiyu sliders...fantastic. Just wish they had a bit more meat.

Barrett's Quality Eats
3242 Crosspark Rd, CoralvilleWonderful experience for DINNER tonight at Barrett’s. They are generally known as a bakery/coffee shop but I have been wanting to try dinner here and so glad we did! Being a cold front in January, it was peaceful and not crowded at all on a Friday. Parking was a breeze. I noticed the chef came out and sat down with a group to help them order. The server was incredibly kind and attentive. She was able to help me pair my delicious Arctic fish entree with a white wine. My partner got the pot roast and it was also very good! The Puppy Chow Sunday for dessert also tasty. Their take on an “old fashioned” was super yummy!
I have also been here for breakfast or coffee a few times and it’s always been a great experience!

Monica's
303 2nd St, CoralvilleAbsolutely fantastic experience! We had to come back again because we loved it so much the first time. I was in town for eye surgery @ the University & we needed something that was close to our hotel & that gluten free options. We loved our service both times. The first time we had a girl and she was super attentive and very nice. The second time (yesterday) we had a taller guy that had just graduated from U of Iowa last year he had said. They both added to the experience. It takes a lot to wow my mom :) They both were above and beyond. The bruschetta was the BEST we have ever had. Superb!! The artichoke dip was very good too, but the bruschetta definitely won us over. I had a sandwich and potatoes the first time and yesterday I had the tilapia, potatoes, pear salad and gluten free cheesecake. The atmophere is really cool too. They have a lot of Hawkeyes sports decor and their pizzas are even named after players and coaches which is really neat way to celebrate the sports culture. Both times we came around 2:30, so it wasn't busy at all. We were able to socialize easily. The music was at a nice volume as well. They have tvs around also and a nice bar area. We will definitely return when Im back for my follow up eye appointments. Thanks again to both our waitress and waiter. Keep it up!

Iowa Athletic Club
200 E 9th St Suite 205, CoralvilleGreat atmosphere, great service, and most of the food was delicious. I just wanted to write a review saying that the Iowa Mac is not their strongest dish. The description sounded like it had all the best foods in one, but the bacon is so overpowering and unfortunately ruins the rest of it...

Coffee Emporium
925 E 2nd Ave, CoralvilleI stopped by for a quick coffee between commitments and I am so glad I did! The barista recommended a phenomenal coconut mocha then told me they would make sure to make it look pretty for me. They were super nice, the atmosphere inside was so cool! I highly recommend using Midnight Coffee as your caffeine dealer :)
