“Something for everyone! Home decor, kitchen gifts, kids books and toys and clothes for women (in extended sizes!?), children and men. Great selection of men’s gifts and apothecary which is hard to find in Valley Junction. A must stop shop when supporting local retail is Des Moines.”
“As a person using a mobility device, aka a rolling walker, I struggle going into stores that have lots of little items. This store’s aisles and places to walk through were immaculate snd easy to navigate. A lot of times, I skip shopping in similar stores, because my mobility device is a hinderance, and I can’t safely shop the store. When I was there on April 4th, 2025, I was able to safely shop and look with no issues or assistance needed, which rarely happens. The people working were extremely helpful and kind. I hope this continues and spreads to other places. This store is proof that ADA compliance is possible, and fun items are for everyone!”

“The only reason why I'm giving it 5 stars is because I can't rate it any higher. The environment and the people who work here have a great vibe around them giving it an all around good experience. Everyone is super polite, understanding, and will do anything they can to help out, I've bought a few things from here and they are very reliable, so reliable I've sent friends this way and they've said the same thing. They have a very nice and large variety, from default pipes, to animal or gandalf pipes, etc. Everything they have is displayed in a very nice fashion and makes everything look good. I look forward to buying from here again!”
“We enjoyed spending time at this small but enjoyable zoo. We enjoyed seeing the red pandas. We were surprised in the Australian section that the wallabies were free roaming! We had fun feeding a giraffe (extra cost, but reasonable). We did not ride the little train around the zoo. The zoo is easy to get around.”

“Literally this Hudson News had the friendliest cashier I've ever encountered at an airport. For not a huge store, I thought this Hudson News had a pretty solid variety. Their book selection was great, I even liked how much stuff they had for kids. I've tried to buy my son a book at the airport before to help entertain him and some spots have nothing that is kid friendly. The snacks also had a great variety. Of course the prices are on par with every other airport Hudson News there is. Overall this was a really pleasant shopping experience with a very friendly cashier wishing everyone safe travels.”
