“Visiting DesMoines and looking for a few items for a charcuterie meal. Was able to find quite a few items to add. They even had chocolate covered orange slices which we got for fun.”
“They have a decent selection of gluten-free options and my favorite is their in store brand cheese that states right on front: gluten-free! You dont have to go searching for it on the packaging!”
“I married into a balkan family. Still learning the language. The staff here are so nice, helpful and friendly. When Im sent to the store for something Ive never heard of they are quick to assist. Large variety and has all the essentials of a balkan house kitchen (or so I'm told).”

“First time here! My husband and I recently moved to Ames from Chicago where my family is from. I was missing a lot of the Polish goods that my grandma would buy so I decided to take the drive to see what they had. I was so happy that they had even the same brands! While checking out I found out that a lot of the things they sell come from a distribution warehouse in Chicago.”

“Pleasantly surprised at the selections I was able to find! This market had several items I was on the lookout for, but was missing a few I wanted. It's definitely geared more towards Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and maybe Korean foods. I didn't see much from Western Asia in general. Smaller store with less fresh produce than I'd expect, but reasonable for a local place. They had lots of coffee / tea powders if that's your thing!”
“The bakery at the NE Gateway Drive in Grimes made my 3 year old grandson an AMAZING birthday cake. We wanted the Paw Patrol theme and she adapted it to a round shaped cake. She was was very creative in designing it. Very happy with the cake and highly recommend visiting their bakery.”

Sometimes, I have my groceries carried to my car, and for this, I always tip a few dollars, nothing life changing. I was surprised to learn that tipping is quite rare. Bigfoot sightings seem more numerous.

“I don’t get here as often as I’d like, but the lox bagel on an everything is always my choice. The coffee/espresso drink options are good too. Everyone is friendly and of course the food items come out pretty quickly.”
“Efficient, professional and great selections. Clothing is great quality and selections. Groceries are cheaper than Walmart, Fareway, Price Chopper and especially Hy-Vee. Electronic section always has what I am looking for. Tvs, video games, gaming accessories, laptops, phones, stereos, records galore......you name Target has it!”
“Josie is the best. I misplaced my receipt but she knew how to do a return without it. I don't normally have exceptional customer experiences at Dollar Generals and similar stores, but she's an exception. She was professional, courteous, managed and exceeded expectations.”
“The employees are always nice, but sometimes the store is not neat. I know they only have a few employees, and when the truck comes, putting things away is hard to do when they're busy, but there isn't a lot of room to move on truck days. Item availability is less of an issue now, but was a big problem recently”

Very popular with the military from Camp Dodge, just up the road.
Parking: A large grocery store with ample parking.
Kid-friendliness: Ultimately, it's a grocery store, so there are always kids there. And if the kids don't like Chinese food there is also a section with American food (potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, meatloaf, etc.)”
“Straight out of Iowa and this is opened 7 days a week. Has a Wahlburgers inside as well. Love that they call soda "pop." Well spread out and has all that one needs.”
“Manager and staff at this store deserve bonuses. They keep the store clean and neat and provide good service at the register when the app coupons do not work. Keep up the good work staff. I have also sent an email to corporate letting them know about this five star store.”
