“Kyle was outstanding - we purchased both a mattress and a recliner. Kyle was knowledgeable, courteous, and a fantastic listener. He asked us questions about our needs and helped us find the perfect mattress and recliner. We are now planning our next purchase with Kyle and Slumberland.”
“Mason was very helpful and patient. My kid tried multiple beds for about an hour before making a decision. I know we won't have any issues with the mattress. We've had multiple Lebeda mattresses throughout the years and they've been very comfortable.”
“I found and purchased a fabulous distressed lantern for my front porch. It's just gorgeous and I'll put 3 candles with timers in it. It was very reasonably priced and I had such a fun experience shopping. Everyone was so helpful. I always love shopping there.”
“Everything went great! From the sales floor to the delivery! Joe and Marcus were awesome during the delivery, explained where our sectional came apart, let us know if we had any questions or concerns to let the store know right away! Overall was a great experience!”
“I absolutely loved working with Jessica! She helped me through a whole house design. Making sure the furniture was the right size for the space to the perfect beautiful fabrics! I can’t wait to see it all together! She was amazing! Love this local store!”
“Gail and her team do an amazing job! All the products we have purchased have been outstanding in quality. We recently had an issue with an outdoor sofa we purchased from one of the big box stores. Gail found a way to help us find a solution to our problem when the big box store didn’t care to help us. Highly recommend Backyard adventures.
We won’t be shopping anywhere else going forward.”
“Went on a Sunday, and they were staffed EXTREMELY well, even at 11am. Staff was available as needed and not pushy. We was able to wander until we found all our items in our list. We then had David, who was in clearance section, handle all our transactions. TALK ABOUT EASY PEASY! Everything was easy to do with him, he communicated about options, including delivery, and with one swipe of our card, WE WAS DONE!”
“I’ve had the pleasure to work with both Julie Ross and Paula Reicks at K. Renee. They have helped me find pieces to complement our bedroom; redesign our entryway; find a new cocktail table, side table, and accent pieces for our family room; and more recently a whole new makeover of our living room. One thing I appreciated most about both designers was their willingness to find new pieces that complemented already-existing pieces within our home. They have helped me create a home that is warm and inviting. Whether you are building a new home, looking for a whole new look, or just want a few new pieces for your home, I highly recommend that you stop in at K. Renee’s and talk to one of the designers. It was the best decision I ever made!”
“Such a cute store. Loved their selections and the gentleman working was so friendly. The lady never offered to assist us. Anyway we left with many wonderful finds for my soon to be here granddaughter.”
“Target Merle Hay is a-ok. Smaller version of the "super" Target that is only 5 min away. The layout of this location is different from the rest. It's also located and attached to the mall. Grocery can be found here. This location had some items in stock that others would be fully stocked. Nice collection of everything that a larger store would have: Opalhouse, Hearth and Hand, seasonal clothing brands, vegan items, electronics, bikes. I can tell they stock less of the items due to space. Service is ok. I tend to see same cashiers and customer service managers. I hardly come here but I have found that if other locations are out of something, I can find it here via Target app. Drive up pick up is offered here. Parking lot can be crazy. Layout is similar to others in DSM but just smaller.”
“I received my delivery. Excellent delivery. Excellent customer service in the store. Caleb helped me and the manager at the West Des Moines location is wonderful as well. Overall great experience. Everyone should experience the Bob's Discount Furniture experience!”
“Have purchased several furniture pieces from Artis and been pleased with the whole experience. Their collections are outstanding examples of contemporary and traditional Arts and Crafts and they offer custom and in-home designer services. Definitely worth a visit to see for yourself.”
“Stopped there on our last day of vacation, looking to add another gargoyle to our family. He didn't have the one we wanted painted but took us in back and spent 20 minutes or so showing us the process. Say hi to Hugo!”
“Best place in Des Moines to buy window blinds. Megan and Scott are both wonderful to work with and the store has a lot of quality furniture, art, and accessories at great prices.”
“Had a good meeting with all the fellow dealers. Everyone was super friendly and such great hospitality. Pigott folks you gave me some good insight to take back with me. Thank you.”
“As a man moving to the Des Moine area, I was in need of high-quality furniture and accessories for my new home. That included artwork and window treatments. I visited many furniture stores but got hooked on Ethan Allen for their service, hospitality and made to order products. It took about three visits to finalize my order but when it arrived, with my designer meeting me at my new home, I was completely thrilled with the final outcome. Since the quality is high, I don't know when I will be back since I expect it to last a long-time; however, I recommend Ethen Allen to anyone who wants to make an impression on his or her guests.”
“We were not able to navigate to the show room floor as we were dealing with inclement winter weather, however, we did have very pleasant and non-pressuring phone conversation with Doug n Matt! They valued our opinion and supported our concerns about making such an important purchase! Thanks, B”
“Arden was awesome and helped me pick out a gift for my dad, was respectful and funny with lots of stories to tell. Really nice guy to chat with, and they have a great selection here with good prices. Would highly recommend”
“If you have a certain style like southwest/western and you live in the Midwest, this is literally one of the ONLY places to shop! Quality furniture brands that are top notch like Hancock & Moore, Paul Robert, King Hickory and more. Not your run-of-the-mill furniture store. Unique and gorgeous pieces all over the place! Chris and staff are wonderful to work with. This is a MUST STOP shop for all of us that want this kind of decor!!”
“This is such a great gallery! They have so much to offer and such a great variety of art. They carry sculptures which are exquisite and many collectibles. It is family owned and they are extremely helpful and easy to work with. I’m just sorry I don’t have a thicker wallet!?Great service, selection and prices, you can’t go wrong!”
“Five stars! They just finished redoing our fireplace and installing new stone, and it looks incredible. The crew was professional, detail-oriented, and clearly knew their stuff. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out!”
“Efficient, professional and great selections. Clothing is great quality and selections. Groceries are cheaper than Walmart, Fareway, Price Chopper and especially Hy-Vee. Electronic section always has what I am looking for. Tvs, video games, gaming accessories, laptops, phones, stereos, records galore......you name Target has it!”
“I am originally from a small town in IA but have lived in CA for 1/2 of my life and it's very rare to find quality customer service anymore. Drew at the West Des Moines location is awesome & really went above and beyond for me. Apparently, great customer services does still exist! Thanks, Drew!!”
“Ron was great. They have tons of great stuff. Walked in and bought a patio table and chairs. They delivered it in about 20 minutes. The delivery guys set it up with no problem, great guys! Highly recommend you stop in.”

“Zumi has the most unique and fashionable items you'll find. I have a friend who would visit and HAD to purchase goodies each trip as her travel treat. Her products range from kids to adults allowing me to buy for myself, my young girls and friends. The jewlry, clothing, books and goodies are eye candy all day. Love this place!”
