“My goal was to buy a good bottle of champagne for the New Year's holiday. I also wanted to purchase outside of the small community where I live. It was certainly worth the drive to shop at Ingersoll. I will note no one offered assistance, but I wanted straight to the area I needed and did not seek out assistance. I felt that the prices were certainly inline as well.”
“Super wonderful people here! We went in tonight late looking for fever reducer for our infant. They didn't have anything for under 2 years old, but the couple running the store gave us advice of what we could do naturally to help him. We didn't end up buying anything and they were just so sweet and helpful. Stellar service. Highly recommend this place!!”

“Stopped in on a Friday evening for dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. Water was poured and menus were brought. We each ordered a beer while we looked over the extensive menu. They offer lunch specials. The menu was split into appetizers, noodles, rice, specialties, sushi, Japanese and kids so if you knew what you wanted you could easily find it. We took our time looking over the menu since we were open to trying new things. We started with shrimp in a blanket -four nice size shrimp in a wonton with plum sauce. They were served ahead of our meal and came our steaming hot and crispy. For entrees we orders the red curry with rice, vegetables and fried tofu at a 2, and the pad woon sen with pork at a 4. The heat level is 1-6 for reference. The food came quite quickly and looked so good. We both enjoyed our meals but would each increase the heat level by 1 next visit. The 2 was fairly mild and the 4 had some heat but seemed more mid level. Our server Dijana was very helpful and did a great job keeping water filled and answering our questions. We will be back.”
“Des Moines isn't a hotbed of liquor stores, mainly because you can get anything mainstream at the grocery store or a convenience store. So if you're looking for something different (maybe not super different) this is a solid option. Prices are good. Lot of hard liquors. Bottles of Dom. Decent selection of import beers. Parking is tight and can be dicey, tho at least they have reserved spots.”

“Pretty solid little hole in the wall bottle shop !! Occasionally get great allocated things which is great, also the only bottle shop in the state I know of currently that carries a very special islay bottle of Gin ...... otherwise known as the botanist , also very friendly staff!!!”
“Good people and good prices. Some things are priced better than others but in all honesty this is the case everywhere. I feel they have a good selection and they carry the cheap brands like 24/7's alongside higher quality. I find it refreshing that they are not afraid to cater to high-end or low end customers and they simply have what you need, be it a 1200 dollar bottle of liquor or 5 dollar cigarettes.”
“I was really happy with this store because the day that I went in was the day of my birthday December 22 and I was able to buy the Vape Juice that I liked which was twist space one it’s called strawberry pop rocks, which is really good Vape Juice and I was able to find everything that I needed in. The guy was really nice behind the counter.”

I'm wondering, though, if they're open til 11 pm like Google says. I went in about a month ago and asked that question, and the person said they close the gates and send the cashiers home, but customers are still able to get stuff from the wine and spirits section if they ask.
I got off work late today and was told that once the gates were down, they don't even have the keys to open them back up (which makes me ask how they lock in the first place, but ok). So, in effect, wine and spirits closes at 10 pm.”
“The Tobacco Outlet in Ames has been fast improving it's quality selection and service. Not all Outlets are alike. The Ames Store blows the others out of the water on price, selection, variety and quality.”
“Good group of guys that work in there. They will always do their best to find what you are wanting or find something similar. Massive variety of alcohol. Most of the time their prices are definitely a challenger for others around the neighborhood.”
