“This is a great location! The selection is endless and very well organized. Not to mention it is really well stocked. My husband drives from Ames to get a specific brand of whiskey when he’s craving it since nowhere in Ames carries it lol.
The store is kept clean and free of any trip or spill hazards. The outside is well kept also. There isn’t any garbage or cigarette butts spread around.
The staff is always really helpful and pleasant to talk with. They’ve even offered to order something that they don’t usually carry. Any time we call, they’re kind and helpful on the phone and have offered to hold the specific bottle we were asking about until we arrived from Ames.”

2/28/26 WOW amazing delicious food and service.
I ordered the large chicken gizzards, 1 chicken breast and strawberry pie. Let's start with the chicken gizzards they were very fresh, no grease, great breading, just the right amount of crunch. Chicken breast was very moist with great flavor. The strawberry pie was just the right amount for dessert.
Many years ago they were located on Maury street and I we iuld go there every Saturday to get my gizzards. Same great flavor as back in those days. So happy I found them again.
I will be a regular customer again.10/10”
“Central city liquors is the best way to say on top of summer fun. Like refills on drink and keeping the grill going on propane tank. wasps start at 18$ Compared to the gas station at 25$ and up.”

“Super wonderful people here! We went in tonight late looking for fever reducer for our infant. They didn't have anything for under 2 years old, but the couple running the store gave us advice of what we could do naturally to help him. We didn't end up buying anything and they were just so sweet and helpful. Stellar service. Highly recommend this place!!”

“Very courteous professional staff , quick unload . I arrived at 830 called the number on the sign and was unloaded in 40 minutes ! No restroom on site but considering how fast and professional the staff was I'll let it slide I guess. However it is against the law not have (at least) a porta john on site for drivers. Just a heads up. ! Keep up the great work y'all ! Thanks for the fast and courteous service ! I appreciate y'all ! ??”

The owner came over and offered to help me look for what I wanted and asked about the wine I love and if its good and I told him across Iowa where I moved from its a top seller and always out of stock. He told me he would get it ordered and start to stock it for me. I appreciate this so much! Great customer service even for not having it. :) We will return.”

Nice selection too, i'm sure if you're out in West Des Moines It's a good place to go for liquors. It has the typical ambiance of a liquor store. My only concern was the parking lot was iced over and no one was taking responsibility to get the sand out. I joked that I'd spend a ten bucks to get a two seen from ace hardware for the owner.”

“Stopped in on a Friday evening for dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. Water was poured and menus were brought. We each ordered a beer while we looked over the extensive menu. They offer lunch specials. The menu was split into appetizers, noodles, rice, specialties, sushi, Japanese and kids so if you knew what you wanted you could easily find it. We took our time looking over the menu since we were open to trying new things. We started with shrimp in a blanket -four nice size shrimp in a wonton with plum sauce. They were served ahead of our meal and came our steaming hot and crispy. For entrees we orders the red curry with rice, vegetables and fried tofu at a 2, and the pad woon sen with pork at a 4. The heat level is 1-6 for reference. The food came quite quickly and looked so good. We both enjoyed our meals but would each increase the heat level by 1 next visit. The 2 was fairly mild and the 4 had some heat but seemed more mid level. Our server Dijana was very helpful and did a great job keeping water filled and answering our questions. We will be back.”
“I just rode with a guy that picks up tires and disposes of them for Sahoma. I've never actually had any work done over there but I can say that they are really nice people and I would definitely give them a shot at looking at my vehicle sometime if I need them in the future. After I left the shop part of it I went up front to the store cuz I had the worst headache and the guy at the register gave me some Tylenol that helped make it tolerable till I could get some more in my system. Nice guy up front as well. I'd give 5 star and definitely will change my rating after I have some work done on my car.”
