“We are here on a work contract for the past year and it is our go to for beer, snacks, and any extra grab n’ goes we need for meals. The employees are always nice and occasionally the owner will be there with his cutest, 4 legged pal. We looked into the history of the business and building while we have been here and we are so happy to have spent our money and time here. A staple in the community and kind workers always. We will be buying merch before we leave!!!”

“Hartig Drug became our family's pharmacy the week we arrived in Iowa City. That was 13 years ago. The folks behind the counter have served our prescription needs without fail. They know us by name and are always pleasant. Hartig also keeps a good stock of beer, wine, and liquor.”
“Not sure what happened with the negative reviews, but I just got back to pick up some company for my partner while I'm at work tomorrow (Memorial day, geez lol)Great selection of wines, beer, seltzers, and what brought the 5 stars was the whisky/whiskey wall. He recommended a few fine selections, I gave my $ range and a regular I get, let him assist someone else and found an old favorite. It was a very reasonable price, I normally shop Hy-Vee so maybe that's my problem lol. I had a great experience regardless! Don't let the haters keep you from at least going in.”

“We had the best experience tonight. Steve was a wonderful man. We walked in looking for cigars and he was not only extremely knowledgeable but super helpful without being pushy or intrusive. He answered all of our newbie questions, took time to explain their system and the different kinds and types or cigars, sharing his huge amount of knowledge for being a non smoker. Once he gave us all the information he could he left us to browse. Extremely helpful, super kind, very funny as well, had us laughing not even 2 minutes into our visit. A very pleasant person to be around. Their selection and organization was awesome, we felt comfortable and like we belong, very welcomed. We will 100% be going back and hopefully Steve will be there when we do. Give this man a raise or a bonus or something. It's not often you find a genuine soul like him.”

Any time you go in there it is cleanly, organized and most of all have the best customer service!! The gentlemen who works most evenings is amazing!! Such a good guy.
