“The owner of this place is always smiling and he is very welcoming and kind and happy to help you get what you need. So I was very happy to see that he expanded his little store. This place offers Middle Eastern/Mediterranean, Indian, and African groceries, spices, veggies, frozen foods, etc. Their Halal meats are good and I personally purchase their lamb and beef. I like that the owner is knowledgeable of his products because when I haven’t tried a certain brand of food and ask him about it he will tell me if it truly differs from the brand I know, even if it will convince me to buy the cheaper option. You can call ahead of coming in and ask them to prepare the meat products you want by weight, type, and cut and they will ask for your pick-up time so it is ready to pick-up. This is very convenient if you just want to quickly drop-in.”

“I love this place! I grew up in Iowa City and this was always where we shopped because we were a family of food allergies. I went back while visiting in Iowa City and it brought back all the feels. The Coralville store is nice and larger, but this is the original and a gem. If you are vegan or dairy free, the vegan cheese selection is insane! I've lived in a handful of larger cities and no where has even come close to the vegan cheese offerings here! The freshly made food and desserts are awesome too, with many vegan options!”

“I like going to fareway for their wide variety of meat and produce. I also appreciated that they had a good variety of baby formula which is saying ALOT nowadays. Fareway is always clean and always has good selection along with good customer service. They are moderately priced, typically less expensive than hyvee. They have also recently added 4 self checkout lanes.”

“It's my first time going to this supermarket and I love it. They have a good collection of grocery items. I was looking for the Siracha but wasn't able to find it anywhere in the store. I asked the staff and they were very nice helping me out to look for it but we ended up not finding it. Overall, they have a lot of good food here. I will definitely come back for more grocery shopping from now on.”

“This Target is right in the center of Downtown Iowa City. It's of course smaller than its suburban siblings, but it packs a lot of inventory in its 2 floors. The extended hours also accents the overall convenience of this place. The first floor is heavy on groceries, including a generous selection of beer and wine. That's a good thing for folks like me who took a bottle of wine back to my hotel room. Ditto for over 21 students and folks who live in the neighborhood or are visitors. They do card everyone, and I enjoyed the comment from a Target team member who had never seen a Nevada driver's license before.The 2nd floor is more household sundries, clothing, and other goods targeted towards more every day shopping.”
