“I've been living in Johnston for almost 5 years and using this pharmacy. I don't have any complaints that I can recall. They're normally nice, friendly and professional. If anything I've been the one that's been occasionally grouchy and they've handled it professionally, so thank you very much Hy-Vee pharmacy!”
“Love this place! People are fabulous well informed and made me feel welcomed and not overwhelmed. Selection is on the skinny but very good products and they have gotten a few more in since my last visit. Improving ever visit. When you renew your med card mention it at your next visit they will give you $100 in credits toward your future visits.
Hard to pass that up!

“I’ve always appreciated this pharmacy. I have been getting prescriptions filled with them for 18 years for myself my kids and my grandkids. They are very friendly and they come to know you. After Recently dealing with my husband‘s pharmacy at a nearby chain grocery store, I have come to further appreciate the amenities at Medicap. I like the easy access of the reach out drawer at the drive up. I like the fact that they communicate with you on the status of your prescription. At the store my husband uses, you just don’t hear about it unless you go and ask them about it. Then they’ll say oh we didn’t have that we’re awaiting a shipment. That store is always waiting on a shipment. The pharmacist at Medicap was super helpful with my heart medication when I was having trouble getting responses from Iowa heart and running out of medication. I appreciate the people the people at Medicap.”

“Usually very busy due to excellent prices. But you often have to wait in line and it blocks other traffic. They need to set it up like Costco so that you can easily gas from either side of your vehicle.”

“Everytime I call in a prescription, it is ready within minutes. It is charged to my card on file and my husband picks it up. So easy. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I switched to this specialty pharmacy when the other took 5 days to fill a prescription and ran out of ingredients. I have never had this issue here. Plenty of free parking including handicap. Other services provided but I have never used include weight loss and testosterone clinics.”
“Shop here frequently. Cashier today @ 4pm 12/12/24 was incredibly nice, couldn't see his name tag as it was flipped around. He had glasses and gray hair. Gives the type of customer service that we had when people actually gave a s*** about their jobs - hard to do nowa days since wages haven't caught up with inflation. Give this man a raise.”

“My parents asked me to check if they had any prescriptions ready. I went in and gave them names and DOB and they told me they had nothing, they asked if they should have something. I told her I wasn't sure. So they were willing to help, had I needed more help. I just didn't know what I needed, story of my life. This store is a much need little gem very convenient to Grimes and Granger.”

“Ali at the pharmacy is one of the really good ones. I was in need of a prescription and needed the meds today. There were some issues with the system picking up my script and the pharmacy closed at 6. I waited until it closed and in the mean time tried to have my doctor send the script to a different pharmacy. They told me that was done and when I went to the other pharmacy, it had not been sent there. I was pretty upset. Ali called me an hour after they closed and said that the script finally came through. He said that he knew I needed to start the meds right away. I won't say what hoops he jumped through, but he went way above and beyond and he made sure the meds were in my hands tonight. He was not the only person at the pharmacy that I could tell cared about my situation, but he made my day. Thanks Ali!”
