“Saw Patricia Holly Live here for her CD release party and WOW! First of all if you are Gluten-free this is the place for you! I had so many options for drinks and one in tap! I was sooo impressed! The bathrooms are amazing, I love the sinks on the outside. The sound sound system, A/V, and Lightening was so nice! I was super impressed with the space and the staff is sooo friendly! Highly recommend! Looking forward to coming back!”
“It is nice for the little I saw of it. Went to sing-a-long. Just the parking is blah for a place like that... Maybe because I'm used to having parking lots for places that hold events like that. No cell reception but they have wifi access available.”

We recently attended Sunday Blues, a series featuring a fantastic live band every Sunday. There is ample seating throughout. “My son & daughter in laws wedding was here in Sept 2024!. I have to say the staff here, were some of the most attentive & helpful that I have ever encountered! The food was delicious, They went out of the way to help with desserts that came from STL. In fact they even went out of the way to carry Miller lite that night for some of the Uncles from MN, who will only drink Miller lite ( even though, that is not on their normal menu).
They were more than accommodating with allowing us to decorate early, The loft area for the wedding party to gather between the ceremony & reception was perfect for what the bride & groom wanted. In addition The staff went ABOVE & BEYOND the day of the wedding... The hired DJ was a no show ( although they had set up the equipment hours earlier.... ) The manager on duty had made several phone calls, trying to solve the problem of the no show DJ, even before involving the families... and continued to work to find solutions to the problem, Although the DJ finally showed up 3+ hours late..( I am sure it was only due to the persistence of the manager on duty at the Curate!)
If you want a venue that cares about the couple & families & will go to great lengths to make sure the day is SPECIAL. -- Then Curate is the place for you!”

“Went here to see 'Who's Live' and had great seats. This smaller venue gives good seats to pretty much everyone. We sat a few rows in on the balcony and could see the stage very clearly. When they had an audio issue, we could still hear the actors. The location and access to the woman's bathroom was a little annoying but workable. “Zumi has the most unique and fashionable items you'll find. I have a friend who would visit and HAD to purchase goodies each trip as her travel treat. Her products range from kids to adults allowing me to buy for myself, my young girls and friends. The jewlry, clothing, books and goodies are eye candy all day. Love this place!”
“We hosted our company holiday party at the Mansion in January and it was decorated for Christmas which was beautiful. The staff did a nice job with the set-up. We ordered the buffet and there were differing opinions, some thought it was good and others thought the food had no flavor. We had a cash bar and the drinks were expensive, $24 for two small glasses of wine. The staff was friendly and overall it was a good experience.”

“The enrichment center is part of an on the DMACC campus in Ankeny. We have used the center for our annual infinite campus user group meeting. The facility is very clean and accommodating. The staff are very helpful in getting the access to technology and helping us help the presentations. It easily accommodated our group text of 300 people. We used a local vendor to cater our event and the facility is great at supporting them as well. We have already scheduled this venue for next year.”
“Beautiful hidden gem we found on the internet while shopping for Christmas. Outstanding customer service who went beyond the norm to ensure mom recieved her beautiful earrings. They are stunning in person and reading the back story on the corn used to print the jewlery made it such a unique gift this holiday. Thank you so much for going that extra step. “The Teachout Building was the perfect venue for our wedding. Kaitlin was such a joy to work with. She communicated with us well, allowed us to come and take a look around any time we wanted, and helped us make big decisions for our day. The Teachout Building is stunning and decorated in itself. It was so nice to be able to get in Friday to decorate for Saturday and bring in vendors of our choosing. We absolutely love this venue and it is so special to us. We could not recommend this venue more.”
“I got married here on November 16th, 2025, and it was spectacular! Erica and all the staff are absolutely amazing. They made our wedding day go without any issues and made my husband and I feel like royalty. If you are looking for an amazing venue, definitely go here.
