“This was a quick trip for some Easter candy to give to my nieces. Even though it was right before Easter there was still a decent selection and since it was not busy when I was there I was able to be in and out in a short time. My only complaint is that the workers did not wear masks and personally I did not care for that.”

“Great place to get groceries and your meats. Love the veggie and fruits they have made to buy up and easy to use and eat for family get togethers. My mom and I always shopped here when she was alive they knew her and what she liked and always wanted. They do the same for us now. Love the employees and managers always friendly and helpful. I will shop there until I can’t. ? love this store! Great value and great customer service and care! Always welcoming to me and my service dog. He’s a small chihuahua who detects my low blood sugars but they all know us when we come in. The cashiers just love Sheldon. ? thanks for always being so kind! ? ❤️”

“I think some of the older ladies are snippy and snotty. I go their cuz if their outstanding produce return policy. I don’t buy freezer stuff because their freezers break down a lot and things seem freezer burnt”
“The late evening staff is absolutely amazing. Also very friendly and are always willing to help me find anything. Also go out of their way to look in the back area if there isn't any product on the shelf. Ms Jo is a great night manger she always has a smile on her face. Janice is also very personable and keeps a eye on the customers and just seems to know when someone needs her assistance. A big pat on the back to your night staff!! Thank you for all you do.”
“One of my favorite grocery stores in Sioux City. I will make any and every excuse to get something from here if I know they have it, rather than stop at some of the grocery chains in-town. There is so much here and I always love trying new things! My favorite is their stock of interesting fruits that you can't find anywhere else. I don't think I walk out of this place without getting some new and interesting food or ingredient that I am excited to try out.”
“Veggies and vegetables fruits, much better than Walmart across the street. Price is cheaper 1.39 a pound for grapes even hamburger is better and less expensive. Its a no brainer.”
“I have typically found HyVee to have better produce than other grocery stores in the area. Also, a wider variety of products are carried than most other stores. Many feel that HyVee prices are higher than other stores, but I have found them comparable; it all depends on what you are purchasing.”

“Friendly neighborhood store, offers a place to grab cold drinks, fun chips, snacks and candies and even meat and produce. Stopped by for a bottle of Chamoy and Tajin to make homemade mangonadas. Lots of great authentic goodies packed in this helpful store. Gentleman at the counter was friendly and they take debit cards.Protip: the store is located on a curve, if you miss your turn (heading east) keep going and turn right at the next entrance, you can then double back to the parking lot.”

“Service was friendly enough for a food truck parked next to a grocery store. The papaya salad was very good but I'll warn you, the 3/5 spiciness I chose was too hot for me. Man! The fresh spring rolls were fair but not as good as da kao's. Prices not bad. Overall? Very good; I'm going again!”

I've always had positive interactions when I've come in here, & feel grateful for having a convenient, locally owned business available for the neighborhood. “The Dollar General in Sioux City is awesome. The store is pretty organized for being such a big store. There is a ton of merchandise and took me a good 49 minutes to got up and down every isle. The staff is always polite and it looked to me as if they run the store with only one person. Crazy for such a large store.”

“Really clean store, employee owned, great atmosphere, and the employees are all professional and helpful. Other than a couple homeless guys getting mad at the Manager because he wouldn't sell them alcohol (they were clearly intoxicated) at 8 in the morning, and he handled that with professionalism, he was polite, and he had control of the situation like a true leader, he did great, he even kept his employees focused and getting people through the lines.”

We are two 80 year olds who must have looked bewildered. She wrote down the five items we needed and escorted us quickly throughout the store while we put the items in the cart Amazing. This would never happen in the Northeast.... ever. What a wonderful employee who went out of her way to help us. She knew where everything was in the store. She deserves a raise. Thank you Whitney.”
