“The meat counter is definitely the highlight here, as the quality and freshness of the cuts are consistently superior to what you find at larger chain stores. I really appreciate the full-service experience where the butchers are available to custom-cut exactly what I need and even offer advice on the best way to prepare different items. Beyond the meat department, the rest of the store is very well-organized and easy to navigate, making it simple to run in and grab the essentials without feeling overwhelmed. The staff is always friendly and efficient, and they even provide a carry-out service where they load your groceries into your car for you, which is a wonderful and helpful touch. It is a reliable and high-quality grocery store that maintains a great hometown feel while providing excellent value.”

“Friendly neighborhood store, offers a place to grab cold drinks, fun chips, snacks and candies and even meat and produce. Stopped by for a bottle of Chamoy and Tajin to make homemade mangonadas. Lots of great authentic goodies packed in this helpful store. Gentleman at the counter was friendly and they take debit cards.Protip: the store is located on a curve, if you miss your turn (heading east) keep going and turn right at the next entrance, you can then double back to the parking lot.”
“Good stuff! I've seen over time how Sarg's Mini Mart works hard to keep this locally-owned business available & open for everyone in the community. I've always had positive interactions when I've come in here, & feel grateful for having a convenient, locally owned business available for the neighborhood. Their prices in store are decent, & I've found the people employed there to be nice, & ready to assist. I'm happy this business is here.”

“i remember walking to El Arcoíris as a child to buy snacks when they first opened up a smaller store before moving to a bigger location. when i moved to Texas for a few years, i’d always stop by whenever i visited sioux city. i’m so glad that they are still in business after so many years & always treated me kindly with respect. the owners are great people, they know my ma & watched me grow up throughout my years of shopping there. it’s honestly THE BEST Mexican store in siouxland & has central american items too which is great! i highly recommend it to everybody.”

“Really clean store, employee owned, great atmosphere, and the employees are all professional and helpful. Other than a couple homeless guys getting mad at the Manager because he wouldn't sell them alcohol (they were clearly intoxicated) at 8 in the morning, and he handled that with professionalism, he was polite, and he had control of the situation like a true leader, he did great, he even kept his employees focused and getting people through the lines.”

“I really love that I can find so many things at this store that I can't find anywhere else, the spices, dried goods, and especially the high quality medjool dates, I have found them once in awhile at some larger grocery stores and they have been getting dried out, but the ones here are just like the fresh ones, very soft and sweet, just like I used to get right from the date farms. The people there are also so friendly and helpful.”
“I am a truck driver, and I Googled this place and ordered tsebhi (wet) in a container and injera separate to go. I love it, and the guy is so nice he even helped me carry it to my truck, which I parked by the main street.”
“The Dollar General in Sioux City is awesome. The store is pretty organized for being such a big store. There is a ton of merchandise and took me a good 49 minutes to got up and down every isle. The staff is always polite and it looked to me as if they run the store with only one person. Crazy for such a large store.”
“The service there is great but when I went there today the order lady working by herself while there were 5 people in line she got to everyone and did it by herself and younger boy who was working did not help her at all and I felt so sad for her.”

“Great place to get groceries and your meats. Love the veggie and fruits they have made to buy up and easy to use and eat for family get togethers. My mom and I always shopped here when she was alive they knew her and what she liked and always wanted. They do the same for us now. Love the employees and managers always friendly and helpful. I will shop there until I can’t. ? love this store! Great value and great customer service and care! Always welcoming to me and my service dog.
