“The employees are always nice, but sometimes the store is not neat. I know they only have a few employees, and when the truck comes, putting things away is hard to do when they're busy, but there isn't a lot of room to move on truck days. Item availability is less of an issue now, but was a big problem recently”
“I'm so happy with the service I received today at this location! I walked in and needed balloons... Now normally I just go to the section that has ones already blown up and just pick a few from there so as to not bother anyone, but I had a specific theme I was looking for today. The women there were so sweet and helpful and DEFINITELY made me feel valued. sometimes when I go into a store, especially if you're asking for help with something that requires a little bit of extra effort, I often feel like I'm a burden or that the worker is put out by helping me, but today was the complete opposite! Both of them were the sweetest, happy to blow up the specific balloons for me and absolutely made my day! Great job to the staff at the South Delaware location in Ankeny! I'm thoroughly pleased!”
“I was just there this morning they were very kind and didn't give me no crap about my puppy being in the store with me and I had just about everything I needed and then some that I forgot of course I recommend you go there quickly before they run out of something that you need”

“Thanks to a tall male employee saved me a bunch of money on bottled water and informed us the 24 pack was the same price as a single pack.. heck yeah! I put the little one back and got the big one for the same price.. The cashiers are usually pretty nice too.”
“I am a regular customer and I finally want to share my positive experiences. The employees are always very nice and the shelves/fridge/freezer sections are always stocked accordingly. Christina is always very nice especially while stocking and apologizing for anything that may be in a customer’s way during the stocking process. There was another gal stocking non-food shelves today which she was also very apologetic while fulfilling her duties to stock the shelves. While checking out there is always the same 2 gals, again very nice however I didn’t catch their names. As a regular patron there are times where there might be merchandise to stock, but I truly believe I go on possible truck days as the other day I went aisles were free and clear.with absolutely no merchandise or boxes. I always see the employees working hard so I believe we need to give grace when warranted and compliment when it’s due.”
“This is my go to store for most items especially seasonal items. I have found of you like gardening buy now it won't be there in two months. Goes the same for any holiday. If you see something you like for Christmas in September buy it or it will be gone on three months.”

The cashier Thomas was outstanding. From the moment we came into the store, til he got to us: he heard him greeting and going out of his way to help customers that crossed his path. I must say this was by far the most pleasant experiences I've ever had at a Dollar tree. Definitely made our day. Keep up the great work Thomas, you're awesome!”

“The best place to buy a lot of things! I go there for balloons, cards, toiletries, faux flowers often.
Many locations around Des Moines to choose from. Some are better kept than others, but always a good selection.”

“This location is clean and organized. It's smaller and therefore the selection is, too. They have bread and donuts. Staff is helpful.

“They have little things that you need. I like that. The staff will follow you around. I'm not too bothered by it but it is a little funny. The store is clean. They don't have the most space but they make it work and are very organized.
Woman at the counter called a dude to help me and then helped the person behind me. I found that weird but I still got helped and that's what matters. I actually come here for the knock off shamwow! It's $2 and I cut them up and use them for some many things that it makes anything weird tolerable. I've tried other versions but this one is The Truth. I'll be here getting them for all my projects, if they follow me around or not.

“I would have given a 5 but the one Hubbell down from Guthrie has a very rude cashier I was getting a gift card and I handed her my old license instead of new one. So it wouldn't go thru i.ask her.if she would run it thru again with the right license that wasn't expired she wouldn't do it. We argued and she says we'll you.dont have to come back..FINE I WONT YOUR RUDE AS HELL.. And I haven't been back to that one since”
“Have a lot of things that you need for household items along with grocery items. It's one of my go to places for things that I need that have a lot of things in the store for the most part. They are organized and well stocked. The bathrooms are clean and they have friendly cashiers”
“This place is so convenient for me because it is so close to home. I can find my basic necessities in the store and only have to walk a few city blocks and I'm there. And usually anything I need well in the cooking area is going to be there. Now I said usually. Just convenient!!”

I am so grateful that because of you, I was able to retrieve important pics and other personal data from my phone before having to send in to insurance for reimbursement. “I've been to a lot of Dollar trees and this one matches up to some of the nicest ones. It was very clean and organized. It also had a wide variety of items in the freezer and refrigerator section.
There were a lot of Christmas items with a nice variety of wrapping papers, bags, and bows. I also really appreciate the gift card section.”

“The gentleman at the register was quick and friendly. The store is typically clean and orderly. I always purchase my cards from Dollar Tree. They usually have only a few options for specific events or family members cards but I typically find something that works. I also buy my plastic food containers here too. They’re inexpensive and I can throw them away without any guilt. I never use them in the microwave though. They also have inexpensive gift bags and other gift supplies. During the holidays they have a pretty good selection.”

Bout time they installed self check out with how short staffed they have been becoming. But on the other hand... if they keeping they're employees stocking the store, then it should look nicer. “I’ve been to this location many times with my grandma, the area might seem ruff to those who aren’t from around here, but if you need something to eat, or something for your home it’s a great place to go, my grandma always gets sparkling flavor infused water so if there’s any lovers of that beverage reading this , hey you’ve just find your new go to spot.”

“This is not the closest DT for me but I will travel to this location because it’s my favorite DT! They are amazing!! They ALWAYS have all the newest products/seasonal items out & well stocked while other locations are still unpacking the same items or some haven’t even started yet! They always keep their inventory well stocked and offer a lot of items that other stores don’t seem to carry. They have the BEST craft section that is always well stocked and well organized. I will go to locations closer to me when I need something and it never fails, I always end up coming back to this location to get what I need and they usually never disappoint! Staff is usually always nice and helpful, never any issues!”
