“The employees are always nice, but sometimes the store is not neat. I know they only have a few employees, and when the truck comes, putting things away is hard to do when they're busy, but there isn't a lot of room to move on truck days. Item availability is less of an issue now, but was a big problem recently”

“they are always helpful & knowledgeable. they work hard at keeping it tidied and stocked with a good selection of products. and most importantly, they are genuinely "happy" to be there and it shows.UPDATE 03/13/21: to the young woman working (I will get your name & add it), who helped me with a cord to charge my phone, you went above & beyond! I am so grateful that because of you, I was able to retrieve important pics and other personal data from my phone before having to send in to insurance for reimbursement. “It’s 105* and miserable out today, the gentleman cashier at 1:25pm on Weds took it upon himself to show kindness, patience and positivity to a couple customers in front of me and myself. You’d be hard pressed to find a more thoughtful person.My guess is he probably won’t even want the acknowledgment ?”
“I absolutely love this Dollar general they treat me like family and I'm not just saying that. Couple times I went in there looking for a last minute mask to pick up my kids from daycare in and they were nice enough just to hand me one from behind the counter. They are always so nice when I come in and super nice when I leave. The environment is probably the main reason that I keep going in there. Love this place.”

“I enjoy going to Dollar tree cuz I'm doing crafting right now and they have a lot of interesting things. My one Downfall with them and I have contacted the company and spoke to the several square managers they sell bottled products and charge you the money for the deposit and get their not accepting of the cans back in their stories that I don't think is right. No one has replied as of yet”

“Best dollar tree in area.Clean store and parking lot. Doesn't always have everything they typically carry but WAY better overall than other Merle Hay location and less busy than Urbandale and Grimes. Good selection of balloons. Friendly staff as well.”

“The girl at the counter is the reason for this rating she’s always so polite to everyone who comes in and strikes up conversation with them easily she’s professional and helpful on top of being a positive person. 10/10 other dollar trees are dreary bc of the workers not this one. I bought $50 worth of stuff and she didn’t even hesitate or sigh when it came to bagging it all and she spaced it out! Not just all in one bag like I’ve seen before. “I’ve been to this location many times with my grandma, the area might seem ruff to those who aren’t from around here, but if you need something to eat, or something for your home it’s a great place to go, my grandma always gets sparkling flavor infused water so if there’s any lovers of that beverage reading this , hey you’ve just find your new go to spot.”
“The most store where you finding everything is cheaper how much the Dollar tree maybe needs updating Dollar by $1.25.00 and allows on the future $1.50 also another kind getting more money selling up $3.00, $5.00 to the finally change items from $1.00, $1.25,$3.00,$5.00.”

“I’m not always happy with this particular store. Usually staff issues. Today however a staff member really went out of their way to help, checked for something in the back room when I couldn’t find it and noticed they had new freight they were working on. Found my items and brought them up. Very nice lady. Customer service is really everything. Thank you.”

“I had a good shopping experience at this Family Dollar as I always do when I go into a Family Dollar. The prices are competitive as is to be with any store, when it comes to house decoration you can find some unique items for affordable prices which I like. The only thing that I have an issue with which seems to be an issue at all Family Dollars, is the fact that there Overstock is always in the center of the aisles which makes it difficult for shopper's what carts to navigate the store. This also makes the store look cluttered or unorganized which I know is not the case. I would and will continue to shop at Family Dollar even if its just to run in and grab a quick bag of chips or to spend some time and see what they have new.”

“I think I am a Dollar Tree "Junkie ". It seems I shop at Dollar Tree for most of the items I need and if I can't find what I am looking for there,then and only then do I move on to shop somewhere else. Most all the stores I shop at ( 63rd and Grand,SE 14th and Army Post road) I do shop other Dollar Stores,for the most part they have almost identical items stocked,every now and again I will find something different at each store,kinda like Christmas ? ? I don't see any issues with cleanliness and staff are usually friendly and helpful. I am not happy about the 25 cent increase in the cost on each item I buy. Because of this increase I find myself now doing Comparison shopping on price,before the increase I just bought the items and pretty well new I was getting a Bargain. I still like and shop at Dollar Tree, and will continue to shop at Dollar Tree.”

“New Dollar Tree in Grimes! Finally! Located by the post office. Just like any other Dollar Tree. Simple and convenient store. Has all we need for dollar finds. Service is nice. During pandemic all employees are masked. Mask mandate was lifted in May 2021 so patrons are not required to mask. Clean new store. Will visit again!”

“This is not the closest DT for me but I will travel to this location because it’s my favorite DT! They are amazing!! They ALWAYS have all the newest products/seasonal items out & well stocked while other locations are still unpacking the same items or some haven’t even started yet! They always keep their inventory well stocked and offer a lot of items that other stores don’t seem to carry. They have the BEST craft section that is always well stocked and well organized. I will go to locations closer to me when I need something and it never fails, I always end up coming back to this location to get what I need and they usually never disappoint! Staff is usually always nice and helpful, never any issues!”
