“I like Hy-Vee. Their employees are always willing to help me locate a wayward item.
Sometimes, I have my groceries carried to my car, and for this, I always tip a few dollars, nothing life changing. I was surprised to learn that tipping is quite rare. Bigfoot sightings seem more numerous.
You know a few dollars can really help those kids out!!”

“After the move from Ankeny to Urbandale, we have settled on this Hy-Vee as our usual grocer of choice. There is always a nice selection and great produce. Typically I can find everything I need on my shopping list in this one store. While I love the Waukee store, I do miss having a Starbucks inside, but it makes sense because there is a free-standing store across the street. I loved the Prairie Trail store in Ankeny because it seemed to be larger, but I could be wrong. The only thing I find disappointing is how Hy-Vee like so many other retailers seems to be pushing to the self-check lanes. How can I find a "Friendly Smile in every aisle" if I am dealing with a machine? No thanks.”
“This is my first experience at this location. I’m staying at the hotel next door so I’ve made at least three visits. Each visit was a pleasant experience.
The lady behind the counter, with the glasses, was very nice and had excellent customer skills.
The store was clean, well stocked and had a few good deals on beverages. I didn’t get a chance to purchase anything from coffee shop next door, but if I get motivated I’ll try it out.
I did buy two drinks (pictured) that are supposed to be an in-house brand. I’ll update this review about the drinks once I try them.”

“This was my first time at a Maverick, and it was a great experience! At first, it was a headache because I had to switch my Kum & Go rewards over to Maverick Adventure Club which went smoothly but when I tried scanning my Maverick number, I kept getting an error. I went inside where Melissa and another staff helped by explaining that I had to pay first then scan my rewards.
Melissa was so patient and thorough in explaining everything and answering my questions! Thank you.
Lastly, there are several gas pumps, and the store is laid out in a nice way!”

“The most welcoming people work here. You’re greeted as you come in the store and get reassured you’d get helped as be was busy with something else (even though the wait wasn’t too long) I didn’t get the man’s name, but he wears colorful hats and is very personable!”

“I was on vacation in Iowa and stopped in store 5284 in Waukee and Izzy was working very hard working young gal and so polite. I will definitely come back as she was the best.
I live in Utah and work for Maverik myself as an ops manager. Definitely one of the best in customer service”

“Overall, a great a service station. The gas prices were on par with the going rate in Iowa, bathrooms were clean, and there's an Arby's attached to it. They have a huge selection of stuffed animals/lovies for the little ones and fountain drinks, snacks, and hot pizza.The location is nice because it less busy than the Des Moines stations. Plus, it has some green space to let the kiddos and/or pups move around a bit.”
“I’d like to thank the young gentleman who was in charge of making pizzas this evening. This location was clearly short-staffed (and he was flying solo after the other individual walked out). At one point, they were behind almost three hours on pizza orders, but he remained calm and handled the situation well. Kudos to him!”
“I had the most amazing experience with the staff at this Casey’s! We ordered 35 pizzas for the football team, and these guys had all the pizzas boxed and ready when I arrived for pick up. They even helped load my car. The four employees wore smiles, greeted me and went out of their way to make me feel like a valued customer! Paul delivered exceptional service when I called the order in too. This store is blessed to have these employees! Keep up the great work!!! Thank you Casey’s for supporting Waukee Football!”
