The service was quick, I didn't make an appointment, and they immediately detected the problem with my bicycle. I felt like I was with honest people. They called the technician and in front of me he repaired it. They have a great assortment of bikes and accessories and the people who work there are very friendly. It will be my bike shop from today.”

“My wife and I went to Johnson fitness with a general idea for our home gym. Unbeknownst to us, we would be greeted with one of the most down-to-earth and genuine person, Matt. He took his time throughout the morning showing us the equipment, options, and answered all questions we had. As the equipment and home-gym building process continued, if we needed anything, Matt was there to assist. The equipment quality is outstanding, the customer service is top notch, and Matt at Johnson Fitness makes you feel like you’re family. Deeply appreciate him helping our journey on staying young and healthy. Would recommend without hesitation”

“Long overdue review, but I stopped in here on a cross country bicycle trip in May of 2023. I had a couple things that I wanted the bike shop to take a look at and had an amazing experience at the bike shop at this REI with mechanic Jesse (almost positive that was his name). He was very helpful and accommodating of my situation and was able to get my bike in great working order. I really appreciate both the service and the hospitality that I was given at this store.”

“Bella was very friendly and helpful. This girl is literally a God send. She was interested in my needs and was helpful to point out products that would work well for me. I told her that I have been buying the wrong size from being advised that I’m a size 6, which I’m actually a 0/2 lol. I appreciate her knowledge of the products and recommendations + going above and beyond. The whole staff was also very friendly. But, if you are looking for the best advice look for Bella! This girl will break her back meeting your needs!!”
“I've always been happy with the choices at this location and the perks of being a rewards member. Additionally I think the staff there is fantastic always helping with choices, advice on fit, etc.. My only complaint is that there isn't free tailoring currently offered. I just had a few pieces shortened at my local tailor and it added quite a bit to the cost of the purchase. Several neighboring athletic stores offer free tailoring and it is hard to justify having the added cost to purchases at Athleta. My understanding is that it is a service usually offered but there isn't a current tailor for this location. I hope there is one soon for my next purchase that requires shortening.”
“The only place to go to support small business when buying soccer gear in Des Moines! Always greeted when walking through the door. Their set up is unique so you see a little of everything they have as you walk in the door. They always have a great clearance section and also just every item you'd need to play/coach soccer as well.”

My girlfriend and I walked in, and were greeted with a smile by a woman who introduced herself as Dawn, and asked how she could help.We told her what we needed (shoes where my girlfriend could be on her feet for a long period of time), and Dawn happily took us to a quiet place in the store and brought us a few options. She wasn't pushy, she didn't overwhelm us. She was perfect. We found a very comfortable pair of shoes and were totally satisfied, and we were even talking about coming back before we left! “Had a really excellent experience at the store with an associate named Jordan. I wish I would’ve asked him his last name. He did an excellent job helping me find the right baseball equipment for my son. Took the time to unlock the batting cage so he could try out the bat before we bought it and spent time to steam and form my son’s new glove even talked some NFL with us. Like I said, I didn’t catch his last name, but I did see on his name tag that he was passionate about Youth Sports. Was the highlight of my week thanks for being passionate about your job kind and helpful. God bless you”

Also took the time to show me the shoes that we're on clearance first, while they weren't the shoes I ended up buying, the fact he took time to possibly save me money means a good amount to me.”
“Another great store for the trendy shoppers. Has very popular name brands for both men and women. Prices can be a bit high here but the items do not lack in quality. This store is always nice and organized and I rarely see it left as a mess.”
